My friend was telling me that her son gets a rash from sunscreen when he is hot or sun hits it. Does anyone have any suggestions of brand she could use on him. She tried Neutrgana Baby and Aveeno Baby.

My daughter has a similar problem. Just about every mainstream sun lotion makes her breakout. We ended up going to a health food store and picking one out. I don't remember the name of it, but it contained caffeine which reduces inflammation (my DH is a chemist and let me know). It worked great and no rash.

She should look at the common ingredients in both and find one w/o those ingredients. Likely he needs a physical block not a chemical screen. I use the EWG's sunscreen/block data base to find mine and avoid oxybenzone. We use Coppertone Pure & Natural.

We use Bullfrog on our sensitive skin. It is the only one I have found that none of us reacts to in anyway.

I discovered years ago that when I used sunscreen with PABA I developed a rash.
I look at the ingredients on sunscreen before I buy to make sure it's PABA free.

My family also reacts anytime there is PABA in the sunscreen. I think this is fairly common. I would also try PABA free sunscreen.

My DD can only use babyganics brand. Everything else gives my DD rashes and makes her itchy.
