Sunshine Tree Terrace Question

Has anyone gotten any 'real' food here? I looked on another site (usually very accurate) and it says this quick serve place has asian salads and a couple sandwiches. I have never noticed that. Anyone been lately that can confirm or deny? The salads and sandwiches sound different and good and I'm hoping it's true!! tia

Were you referring to the Sunshine Seasons at Epcot?
If yes, It's kind of like a food court. Like the food court at most Disney hotels where you pick up your food and then go pay at the cashier. Yes, they have salads (I've had the caesar) and sandwiches, and basically a huge selection of food. Nearly something for everybody! If you haven't looked at the menu from allears (http://allears.net/menu/men_ssff.htm) I believe it's pretty spot-on. And the creme brulee is excellent!
The biggest downfall is that it can get super crowded at peak times. So it may be hard to find a table sometimes.

If you're referring to the place at MK, I can't confirm that.

I wonder if the other website is confusing Sunshine Terrace at MK with Sunshine Seasons at Epcot? Sunshine Seasons has Asian influenced foods, including a salad, and a few sandwiches in addition to the other fare. We got ice cream at Sunshine Terrace in August, but I don't remember seeing sandwiches or salads.

Yea, I'm familiar with Sunshine Seasons (love it!). This is definitely Sunshine Terrace at MK according to allears. So I looked at the Sunshine Seasons menu there and it's different - not like they double posted a menu. Weird. It's too bad, the limited food AE lists for Sunshine Terrace sounds good and different from what you normally get at an MK counter service. But the good news is..... at least I'm not crazy and have missed this place to eat over the years!

LOL just realized that Disney runner referenced All ears - go see what they say about Sunshine Tree Terrace.
The menu date is Dec. 2011.

Ahhh, yes. This is the place at MK! Hmmmm, I am now curious too as I find the counter service at MK a little... uh.. lacking. This would be an excellent alternative for sure!

That funny because I just noticed this last week too. I think I recall either reading in a newsletter or hearing on a podcast that some of the CS locations in MK had expanded their menus. It looks like this might be the case.

I'd LOVE to hear some reviews the few menu items DO sound good.

Huh. I'm gonna email Allears and ask about it.

I forgot to update. I did ask Allears and here is the reply.

Often during the very busy holiday seasons and during the Summer,
Disney adds items to menus and "snack" locations and even opens up
seasonal locations to help meet the demands of the larger crowds.
Since the menu is dated 12/11, my personal guess is that these items
were added just for thye holidays and will probably appear again
during Easter Week and the Summer.

I did check it out while we were there and there was no food during our visit (2/02 - 2/06). So........ since we were hungry, we had Dole Whips for Dinner
