Sunshine Terrace Lobster Roll

Sorry for the photo error-I found it in Google images by searching WDW Captains Grill lobster roll.

I did also just find a link to another Disboards thread where someone posted a pic of a lobster roll from Captains Grill that does not seem to be mayo based. Not sure if they change up their recipe from time to time?

That thread also has a bogus picture....interestingly enough (since another poster said you can only get the mayo version in Maine) that is from Bob's Clam Hut in Kittery Maine.

Apparently people are just googling lobster roll and picking a yummy looking one. ;)

Maybe- I did a google search for that restaurant and food item and that is what came up.

I'm a bit confused about the mayo version only in Maine. I grew up in Massachusetts and spent my summers in Cape Cod and the Islands for 30 years and I have never had a lobster roll that was not Mayo based???:confused3

Okay....well you can look for yourself....

Traditional New England restaurants serve lobster rolls (made with butter, not mayonaise) with potato chips or french fries on the side.

Not sure what you want me to look at-this is not a debate. I was simply telling you where I got the picture from.;)

Not sure what wiki is saying. I'm simply telling you what kind of lobster roll I have enjoyed for over 30 years on Cape Cod. I tend to go with my own experience over an Internet website......unless i was hallucinating all these years!!! Not sure if the Cape and islands always served their lobster rolls with a little mayo, but that's how I have always eaten them.

If you are ever on Cape Cod, you should check out the Lobster Pot in Wareham or the Raw Bar in Hyannis-both have incredible lobster rolls!!! With mayo by the way....

Maybe I misread what you were saying... but this read like "maybe that is also a bogus picture"

The wiki link was simply to answer this confused with three question marks and a confused emoticon.

Doesn't matter.... :hippie:

Nope-doesn't matter at all!:flower3:

Well despite the fake cap grille lobster roll photo conspiracy, we like the restaurant.
We just ate there thurs. night in fact.
The lobster roll is not on the dinner roll and i've never had it at lunch (the fish and chips is good though if you like cod).

I've always enjoyed each trip to the restaurant and the quality of the food.
It's one of the few disney 1 credit restaurants where it seems they make things mostly from scratch. I LOVE their crab cake as well.
I talked to the chef on thursday and he was very gracious. They were backed up at dinner and slow but i think it was mainly because the chef was on the floor taking a lot of time for each family who had dietary restrictions...AND coming out again when their food was served. I even saw him doing a table side pour of the truffle sauce over one guest's pork chop. (the server asked to do it on my DH's pork chop so i knew).

We like the restaurant and recommend it no matter what you order.
