On our Epcot day I decided we would either have lunch in the World Showcase or Sunshine Seasons food court depending on where we were when everyone got hungry for lunch. Turned out to be the food court would be more convenient so we headed to The Land pavilion and hopped on the Living with the Land ride (really enjoyed it - I think we missed it on our past two visits) and then hit the food court just before the lunch rush.

I have to admit I went into the food court half-enthused. The Land Pavilion is a bit out-dated, IMO, and dark. The food court looks like a cafeteria. But I perked up quickly after perusing the menu photoboard - they have alot of interesting choices! My kids and brother selected the seared ahi tuna with the sesame noodle salad - they all loved it and it sported a generous portion of tuna. I was very happy with my grilled vegetable flatbread sandwich - filled with fresh slices of perfectly grilled eggplant, zuchini, peppers, and feta cheese - so, so good! My mother had the roasted beet (golden and red beets) and goat cheese salad - again, a very good size and very tasty. My father greatly enjoyed his beef and vegetable stir fry - so much so that he wanted to come here again for lunch! They have a fanastic bakery too - tried the chocolate mousse cake and strawberry shortcake - so many selections and they all looked so good!

All the entrees were under $10 - a great value when you consider that mediocre cheese pizza at WDW can cost $7 - very good value and very fresh food with creative twists. :yay:

We discovered Sunshine Seasons on our last trip & fell in love with it! It was great to have so many options and avoid the usual fast food stuff. The desserts were absolutely devine! Thanks for sharing!!

My family wasn't very happy with Sunshine Seasons but I don't eat junk food, burgers, chicken fingers, etc and was thrilled to find healthy soups and vegetables available. It's one of the few CS places in WDW where you can get hot, healthier food. I believe the only other place was Cosmic Rays where I got string beans, mashed (ok not healthy but comfort food) and soup. it's so nice to have a different option.

You should see them make the sandwiches. When a recipe starts with "take a loaf of ciabatta bread measuring 6 inches wide by 2 inches thick by 6 feet long", you know it's going to be fun.

We used to love SS but then they changed the menu. We used to go for the grilled salmon with mashed potatoes and kalamata olive pesto. Then one day, 9/1/2010 to be exact, they announced a new menu. I'm tempted to try it again because the Asian menu sounds interesting, i.e. the cashew chicken and mongolian beef.

We love Sunshine Seasons for breakfast. I had the Blueberry Croissant bread pudding the last time we were there...:cloud9: Delicious!

I believe it is also opened very late which is nice on the nights with extended park hours.

We enjoyed SS, I had the half chicken and my husband had to pork chop- there was PLENTY of food and even with our 2.5 year old helping, we had food to throw out! The BBQ beans that came with my chicken were anything BUT BAked beans- I am NOT a bean person, and I LOVED them!

Had a great dinner tonight at Sunshine Seasons, had the Fish with grilled vegtables. There was an Olive Pesto that came as a garnish that made the meal. Anyone know how to get the recipe?
