Hiya all

Well I am undecided about my seating for next years holiday, We are booked into sunshine first, but I am considering moving down one to sunshine premium.
The benefits of sunshine first are
* Massive 45” (Boeing 767) 50” (Boeing 747) seat pitch
* Priority Check-in
* Priority Boarding
* 40 Kilo luggage allowance
* Welcome Aboard Refreshments
* Personal TV monitor
* Upgraded menu / meal service
* Dedicated in-flight cabin crew
* No Children under 3yrs
and is costing us £349 pp

sunshine premium is

* Oversized 38 inch seat pitch
* Priority Check-in
* Priority Boarding
* 30 Kilo luggage allowance
* Welcome Aboard Refreshments
* Upgraded menu / meal service
* Dedicated in-flight cabin crew
* No Children under 6yrs
and would be £179

So which would you choose?

I am so stuck on this as its quite a price difference

* 40 Kilo luggage allowance

I thought this would answer your question Anna - we know you love to shop! :teeth:

Never flown with TCD myself, but I would stay with your first choice. I remember you saying that your niece would be travelling too - and I know that if my children did not have a personal TV for the 8 hour flight then they would be incredibly bored and no doubt constantly bother me and DH for the entire flight!

Plus, that extra 10" pitch will make the world of difference. It's so nice to have the space to stretch out.

I can make the luggage up to 40kg on the sunshine premium, yep kaylee i love to shoplol!!

Just dont know if its worth £150 more each to have a tv! lol

(this isnt this years trip but next years where the kids arnt coming)

We went Sunshine First last July and LOVED it!! We were made to feel really special. The seat in front was so far in front that we couldn't reach it if we stretched out - I loved the feeling of space and as the seats are right in the nose of the plane, there is a huge isle too which really adds to the feeling. Both my daughters are frightened of flying so it was great for them not to be cramped and feeling closed in. I didn't see the sunshine premium seats as they were upstairs so can't comment on how they might feel - there is a big price difference between the two, but I justified it (to myself!) that we weren't paying much more than going economy with Virgin or BA. (we did go at peak time). I suppose it comes down to whether you would prefer the extra cash to spend at WDW or the comfort of a big space to stretch out and get some sleep - especially on the way home ! Let us know what you decide!!

I haven't travelled with them myself, but for the small amount extra, I'd go Sunshine First - it's a reasonable price for an upgrade I think.

Think you really know the answer then... ;)

I would pay the extra to upgrade, but that is me... Have never flown TCD, but virtually all of our longhaul travel is Business Class (BA Club World to the USA last January and again this October) - I just hate economy (the lack of space and not being able to sleep really). So if I was flying TCD, it would be Sunshine First without a doubt. But that is me - different things are important to different people. PLUS, if you do go for the Sunshine First, doubt that you will be able to look at an economy seat straight for longhaul travel again... :stir:

At the end of the day, it's being in Orlando that counts. Some people care a lot more than others how they get there :confused3

Boo

I think that Sunshine First sounds really good value, I would pay the extra Just for the leg room, The TV depends on if you feel you would need one.

looks like we are staying sunshine first (we did it last year too)

Chris took 24hrs to consider lol, and decided he still wants sunshine first

I guess I was worrying over the nightmare we had with sunshine first last year going to orlando where we were all down graded, wasnt fun at all.

(Bonus being We have already paid half next years trip)

:banana: :banana: So cool Sunshine First :banana: :banana: :banana:

I did SF last trip and it was great for the leg room,but it was almost £100 cheaper then.
This year we are going in premium.Dad did premium last year,he said the seats were very comfy and he is a bear sized man so i trust his opinion!
You can also pay the small fee for double baggage on top of the premium price and still not even come close to the SF charge.
You still get priority check inn etc.....
Will let you know how they compare when i get back from my trip. :thumbsup2

We were Sunshine Premium last year and it was great. We had personal TV monitors which you don't have on your list. Personally I would go for Sunshine first, for the extra leg room. 38" is still a bit too cramped for me and I'm not even a big person, it's only 7" more than the standard.
