sunset savana

We are staying at the AKL for only three days my eight year daughter plans on sitting on the on the terrace in out room and watching animals for three days. I booked a non smoking room on the sunset savana. Is that a good choice? What trail is that on? Going in November. any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Do you mean you requested the sunset savanna? I do not believe it is possible to book specific views ~ just to request what you would like, it is not guaranteed.

The most popular savanna that guests request is the Arusha Savanna ~ it is the inner circle of the horseshoe of the resort.

The Sunset Savanna is a bit smaller but has some really good views of ostriches running about... you don't get ostriches on the Arusha Savanna.

Before our trip I asked the boards a similar question. They basically told me Arusha Savanna was the best and thats where our room was. I called before I went down and requested it then when we checked in I asked if it was possible to have a view of the Arusha savanna and they gave it to us. Sunset savanna has its own viewing balcony we stopped to check it out everyday and only saw ostrichs once. The Uzima also looks nice we could see it from a window by our room. We were on the zebra trail third floor which was a great location. We saw all the animals that are on that savanna all through out the day and night it was incredible.
