Sunset Lakes or Indian Creek Villa?

Hi, have stayed in both and live in Sunset Lakes 3 months in the winter.
Both great choices for location and reputation for nice homes. SL is smaller community with homes around a huge oval lake. There is a gated entrance with a code to get in. Homes are a little older than IC.
Both great location to get to Disney.
I would look at amenities like game room, king beds, hot tub and pool, and then look at price and see what fits your needs. Both come highly rated by most folks. In my opinion, SL will be much more like a small neighborhood and IC more like a big housing developement. SL has about 3 streets only and IC will have many more turns, streets, and homes.

Good Luck...Ted

We stayed in IC the first time we went to Disney in 2004. We liked it. We had a house in the very back of the neighborhood so we had no rear neighbors. Great location.
This year we are going Nov.19-26th and are staying in SL. We've seen this neighborhood before and it always looked really nice and quiet. I'm really looking forward to staying there. I have a question for those of you that have stayed there...Hows the fishing in the lakes? My husband is all excited that you can fish there. He also wanted to know if you need a liscence?

Hi, I am sure you need a liscense. I do not fish so maybe someone can help or I suggest you google "florida visitor fishing liscense" and maybe they have a one week deal or something.
I heard the fishing is good, especially in the smaller lake at the far west end of Sunset Lakes.
We stay there 3 months in the winter and love it...Ted

Good Morning...looks like I was wrong...I decided to play a little with computer and found out that you do not need a liscense if:

"You are fishing in a fish pond of 20 acres or less which is located entirely within the private property of its owner. A fish pond is a man-made pond constructed for the primary purpose of fishing, entirely within the property lines of the owner and with no surface water connection to public waters."

Sounds like Sunset Lakes to me...Lake is man-made, less than 20 acres and entirely within the property lines...

Happy fishing...Ted

Thanks Ted. He will be happy to hear that. He was going to look it up himself and you saved him the trouble:thumbsup2 I've planned a day off from parks mid-week, so I know what the men will be doing that day. I'll have to get some pics if they catch anything.

Have to say Sunset Lakes. We stayed there and enjoyed how peaceful it was. Sunset Lakes is a gated community and I'm pretty sure that when we drove by Indian Creek it wasn't.
