Sunscreen Recommendations

A reminder to check the expiration dates!!! I only trust lotion will work well if it's been bought within 6 months. I've been burnt watching DD's softball games when I used an old bottle of NoAd 45. Old stuff makes it's way to the trash.

I like using the Coppertone Sport SPF30 in the trigger container (smaller to pack in the Disney bag and easy to use on the go ).

WHatever you use, make sure it has parsol 1789 or Avobenzone in it.

Just a FYI, there was a really good segment on the Today Show from a dermatologist about various sunscreens a couple weeks ago. I'm sure you can go to their site and find previous episodes.

What I took from it was the aerosole cans have very little product in them. Also, with anything sprayable, it's very easy to not get full coverage. Make sure you're "wet" after spraying. My hubby bought one of those cans, sprayed himself, went fishing and got a horrible "sprayed" sunburn.

What I found most interesting is even the "best" waterproof sunscreens stop working after you've been wet/sweating for 80 minutes.

Personally we use the Coppertone Sport 30 sp for our faces/chest and regular Coppertone 15 sp for the rest of our bodies.
