Sunscreen on Airplane Carry-on?

As I understand it, travelers are advised to keep liquids in their original containers. Not saying it won't get through, but it will likely be less of a hassle. On the other hand, my mom was concerned about her medication...I'm not quite certain what her concern was, but those she was able to put all in one jar.

Not to nitpick too much, but the TSA at Laguardia Airport in New York state that it can be up to 3.4ozs. My wife found this informative because she likes to shop at The Body Shop and many of their smallest products you can buy are 3.3ozs

TSA needs to easily be able to determine that containers are 3 (okay, fine, 3.4) ounces or less - so putting your liquids/creams/gels in purchased travel containers is not a good idea. Instead, as 'unregistered' did, put your preferred products into rinsed-out labeled containers of similar products.

I'm beginning to see a ton of different sunscreen brands in the travel size lately. I have a few that have been 'attached' to the larger sizes also, as well as one that has a carabiner attached to it. We each put one of those travel sizes in our zip-loc baggie so we're good to go when we reach WDW. The large sizes go in the checked bags.

I always look for larger sunscreen bottles with bonus mini-bottles. Neutrogena often has that.

Based on what I've seen in the sun products aisle, I think we're going to see more cosmetics companies including sample sizes of the same product on items people are likely to take on vacation. I know I'm more likely to buy certain products if they include something I can put in my 311 bag.

Now, if only they'd start putting facial moisturizer in trial size bottles...
