Sunscreen help

I am looking for a good sunscreen that doesn't leave a greasy film or seem to rub off on things. I am very fair and have sensitive skin so I also need something that won't cause break outs. I've used the same thing for years but it seems to rub off and get all over things. Any ideas?

I've always had great luck with "Bull Frog" sunscreen.

It's not at all greasy and lasts longer than anything else I've tried.

I like the neutrogena ultra-sheer stick.
I've also used hawaiian tropic silk hydration. It feels more like lotion. It does take a bit to dry completely, but not as bad as the usual sunblocks.
I read a review that recommended murad (moisturizer with SPF30) but I haven't tried it yet.
I haven't found one I like for my face that's a minimum SPF30, doesn't irritate my skin, and doesn't feel greasy so I can still wear makeup. I tried clinique moisturizer with SPF but it felt greasy and I couldn't apply makeup over it easily. I usually just end up using the neutrogena stick on my face on top of my makeup if I'll be outside for a while.

Neutrogena (sp?) makes a non-greasy formula sunscreen, and CVS has a knockoff house brand with the same ingredients that's much cheaper. I assume Walgreens probably has the same thing under their brand. I hate to wear sunscreen, but of course I do. As a guy I have much empathy for women who have to smear makeup all over their face every morning.

I've been using nurtagena 110 spf and it works well. I have sensitive skin and it doesn't bother me.

Depends on which version. The original formula (popular with surfers) used beeswax and smelled like oranges. In a dusty environment, everything would stick to it. It was fine around water.

Probably "Ultra Sheer Dry". I think they add some silicone in there. It also has a tendency to eat through certain types of plastics though. They had a pump spray version once, and one ingredient would cause the cap to soften and deform.

One I really liked was from L'Oreal. I got it cheap on the close out section of a supermarket, but it was only because they discontinued carrying it. We used it on out last Disneyland trip.

When you say you have sensitive skin--do you mean all over or just face?

I have found that I am probably allergic to the chemical sunscreens, although they are absolutely fine on my arms and legs. If I put them on my face, I "welt" up and look like I have a sunburn on my cheeks. It's awful.

Any of the physical sunscreens (made solely of zinc and/or titanium dioxide) work very well on my face. In fact, the higher the zinc count my skin actually feels good. It is very hard to rub in but generally does not come off after that. It's almost not practical for the entire body but they are getting better and better with and there are formulations that are going on quite well.

I used to mail order the Vanicream one for my face, although I think you can probably find it stores now. The brand "First Aid" I think (got it at Sephora) did really well.

These types of sunscreens cost more though.

I am very fair skinned and use a lot of sunscreen. I just bought my third tube of Alba Botanica brand sunscreen. It's doesn't feel too greasy, doesn't seem to rub off, and doesn't irritate my sensitive skin. They have a face specific formula, but I actually prefer the regular body formula for my face too. It just feels a bit better. They have a few formulas. The SPF 45 with Green Tea is great. It even smells somewhat pleasant. I am almost finished with that tube so I bought another in Lavender!

I wore the Alba at Typhoon Lagoon from 9am-3pm, applying once when we arrived and two more times throughout the day. I made sure to sit in the shade and let it soak in for about 20 minutes after each application. I had mild redness on the top of my forehead the next day - I have a high hairline and I think I just didn't get enough on that spot.

We prefer the spray kind for the body and the stick for the face. The sport one seems to do a very good job. I buy targets brand. It is more expensive but worth it

I am allergic to chemical sunscreens, so my choices are limited to mineral sunscreens. I found a new front runner this year from Babo botanicals. They made a sheer cream last year that works pretty well, but this year they can out with a spray. The ingredient list is amazing and its pretty sheer and ay thing you do get on clothing washes out.

Blue Lizard. My DS and I are allergic/sensitive to the majority of commercial sunscreens. This brand rubs in quite well and you don't feel greasy.

CeraVe makes an amazing zinc-based sunscreen for faces. I use it exclusively now because my facial skin decided a few years ago it hated the chemicals in other sunscreens. It's not greasy and it doesn't leave that white paint tinge. I can wear my Bare Minerals make up over it. Don't know about liquid makeup.

I can relate and have so many sunscreens laying around my house its ridiculous. I have vitiligo and burn almost instantly since I cannot tan, I also have very very sensitive skin and the only thing my sensory overload can tolerate from sunscreen lotions in Clinique...i seriously would die if they ever stopped making this and the after sun balm.
