I believe Coppertone has a spray about 6 years ago, not sure if they still make it. Anyone have any suggestions?

I hate to have long hair in the summer and am not really a hat person. I will wear a hat but I was just wondering if anyone knows about any sprays to prevent scalp sunburn.

I just rub regular sun screen on my scalp if needed.

i take waterbabies and put it in a spray bottle with water. spray it on before you style.

Banana Boat makes Hair and Scalp Spray. Let me see if I can find it for you. It's tough to find in stores, so I usually have to order it online, but it works great and doesn't make my hair greasy or anything.

Clinique makes a spray on sunscreen in both spf 15 and 30. It's what DH and I use in the Caribbean, and we've never gotten burned.

Oh yeah Banana Boat was the brand! It was in a grey or light blue translucent spray bottle if I remember. Then it just disappeared!

Well I just called Banana Boat because I couldn't find it and while on hold they mentioned the website where I'd bought it before...so I went to check it out.

I'm not happy about that. This is the only thing that got me through the summer.

They do have one that says it's for babies with an SPF 45. I may have to try that.

Paul Mitchell makes a spray that is a color protecting SPF 15. Not sure what the exact name is but it works well and doesn't make your hair look greasy.

Use to LOVE the Banana Boat, but have not been able to find it for a year or two - really miss it!!! it was a great product and I can't help but think that if they had marketed it right - it would have sold better. Ah well!

I use lip balm with SPF on my part. It works great.

I agree! When I was planning my wedding two years ago, I was looking all over the place for the stuff because we were going to Jamaica to get married and I knew I'd be in serious pain if I didn't have it. I checked every store and then discovered the website where I could order it. But had I not already known about it, I never would have found it.

And from what I've seen on other websites, it was something that so many people liked - so poor marketing definitely did them in. I think I'm going to write them a letter. Can't hurt!

Most of these that I'm seeing have only an SPF 12 or 15. Unfortunately, I need something stronger than that. At least my new car doesn't have a sunroof. In the old one, that was my biggest issue. I'd open the roof and burn my head.

I think it's waterbabies that makes a spray on for your scalp. I get it for the kids and then use it myself and will long after kids. I have long hair, but my scalp (in the part) has burned several times and it hurts and looks terrible when peeling! I can usually find it at Toys-R-Us and Babies-R-Us easily.

It is on sale right now at Drugstore.com

I've used this for my kids since they were babies...it works very well.

I use Redken UV Protective oil. It is a spray which I really like. It also really keeps my hair moisturized and under control. Or as much as hair ever is on the beach! It looks like it has gold glitter in the bottle but I don't see any when I spray it on my hair. I got mine at Ulta but I am sure they sell it many places.

I wonder if the new Continuous Spray Sport stuff from Coppertone would work? I have thin, blond hair and I've already burnt where my part is and we didn't even go toWDW yet!

Thanks for the great idea. My part always gets sunburned, and I never think about it until it's too late.
