Hey

We are flying out of BUff and I would like to pack sunscreen in my carry on bag, so the kids can go swimming once we get ASMusic. I found theses little bottles.. Does anyone know if I can fill them up myself with sunscreen? I don't think I can take a big bottle on the plane???

I was looking for small ones to purchase but no luck, has anyone found any in Canada, that can be taken on the plane??

Thanks.. Sarah:hippie:  :yay: :cheer2:

If you're talking about a travel sized bottle, you should be ok. Just pop it in a ziplock bag.

You could also get sunscreen wipes...

Its my understanding that you are not allowed to take any fillable bottles in your carryon. I picked up one of the 30SPF sticks (84 mL) at Superstore if that helps you.

I got a travel size at Walmart of Hawaiian tropic 45 spf. It was with the other travel size products not suncreens.

We have found it easiest to purchase small quantities of sunscreen at the gift shop (usually about $4 - 5 cost). This will fulfill our needs, until DME delivers our bags, which contain higher quantities of sunscreen. For $5, it's easier to buy suncreen. than try to drag it through security.

My ds' can only use Ombrell and I managed to find one that was less then 100 ml - that's the max you can take on. There were several there we had to choose from that were the right size for carry on.

I too had wondered about purchasing refillable clear bottles and filling them with sunscreen, etc. I got thinking that security might be a little sticky in that they probably want the item to be in a printed package.

I was on a conversion calculator website today, and 3 oz US is equivalent to 89ml Cdn. Which meals that my 75ml toothpaste is good, so no need to buy small travel ones for everyone. :goodvibes

We flew out of Detroit a few weeks ago and I have a little travel sized sunscreen, that I've refilled many times. I also had hand sanitizer. As long as the bottle is small enough and it's in the ziplock, you should be fine.

Last year I was able to get travel size sun screen from Pharma Plus. If they do not allow the clear plastic containers you could always exchange the contents of a travel shampoo with some sun screen.
