Sunrise Safari

Does anyone know how quickly the sunrise safari books up, should I contact the IPO before the 90 mark or just wait untill they contact me?

You're going to love the morning safari! My son and I have done it twice, DH once. Both times I contacted AKL's IPO via email and had them add it to our itinerary. Even during Easter week we didn't have a problem adding it. I would, however, book as far ahead as you can since this is becoming more and more popular.

This is a safari that is avaiable to guests staying at the Concierge Level at the AKL. It takes you on the safari that is run at the AK park before the park opens and without the ride soundtrack. You go slowly and they come to complete stops so the picture taking is great. You also get a buffet breakfast in a private room at Tusker House. You also get a FastPass to go on the regular safari ride.

The cost is about $50 per adult and about $25 per child. This is per person in addition to the cost of the concierge room. Staying Concierge at the AKL just gives you the ability to book the tour.

Think I covered everything. We have done this twice and plan to do it again on our Jan 2005 trip back to the AKL.

Is it only offered on certain days or every day? Thought I read it was only a couple times a week.

It's offered on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

It's also a 'must do' for us when we stay there (at the right level).

Sorry about not making that clear in my post. Flower is correct just Tuesday's and Saturday's for now. Both times we have done this tour has been on the Tuesday tour.
