Wonderful photos! I didn't know they had that many hippos in AK. I've never seen more than 2 or 3 when we did the regular safari ride.

The first "hippo pen" holds the males, we counted 4 of them. The second "hippo pen" holds the females, we counted 10 or more of them. Apparently life is too good for them and they need to keep them in separate pens to keep the population in check.

What wonderful pictures!!! Can you fill us in on some of the details such as cost, how long it lasts, what you do, etc. It looks like so much fun.

How is it different from the Sunset Safari? We are considering it since we are not staying conceirge.

You can sign up for this 180 days in advance. It does sometimes sell out so if you are sure you want to do it, contact AKL's IPO and sign up (IPO = the Itinerary Planning Office, the CMs who take care of things for the Concierge guests). Unlike other WDW tours, you don't pay for the safaris until you get there. They will ask for your reservation confirmation number and travel dates so have that handy when you call.
