Has anyone done the Sunrise Safari in the winter when the temps were cold? Was it a good or bad experience when it isn't warm?

We did it last February when the temps were close to 32°F. It was very cold, even with the blankets they gave us on the safari. While I would rather have gone when it was warmer, you play the hand you are dealt. And we did still like the Sunrise Safari. Buffet meals are not our favorite but the breakfast buffet was pretty darn good also.

We've ONLY gone in January or March, and didn't notice a difference between the two. LOVE the sunrise safari!:thumbsup2

Is this the Safari that's only available to those staying at AKL? TIA

We did the safari in Oct 09 and the weather and Safari were awesome. We were at Disney this December and it was very cold! Now planning our 12/11 trip and thought about doing conciere part of the time to do the safari but wondered if it would be worth it if the weather was cold. Thanks for the feedback!

We did one in early December. They did have blankets available and the animals were all out, no issue.

We did the wanyama safari in Nov. O9. It's in the afternoon and you have to be staying at that resort, but it doesn't have to be conceirge level. It was followed by signature dining w wine pairing at jiko. It was awesome and I'd do it again in an instant.
Just thought I'd share another option.

We didn't do the Safari in "cold" weather, but caught a mean rainstorm at the beginning of our Wanyama Safari. it was a little wet at first, but was still pretty awesome. The animals were out and about and there were no issues.
