Just a word to the wise....... Don't park at SunPark at Essington Ave. in Philly. Not only did they not have my truck ready, all the computers did not work so the checking out was impossible. The next morning while washing my truck I noticed that they damaged my rear bumper.

After calling and being told they would email me a claim form, none has arrived. The manager stated he would research the claim and said every vehicle is inspected when it is dropped of, yet he couldn't tell me the condition of my vehicle...that I would have to wait a couple of days.

If you like your vehicle, I wouldn't park there. I have a feeling SunPark is not about to say they damaged my truck. And the driver who parked the car the hit my truck, knew he hit my rear bumper yet didn't own up to it.

Thanks for the warning. We have always parked at the airport but have often thought of the off site parking offers. Interesting to hear of other experiences. Our personal preference is to drive.

I parked there, once, a few years ago. NEVER again! We have been using Expresspark, and have no complaints whatsoever. I won't make that mistake again!

I'm sorry about your bad experience but thatnks for the warning. At least others might be able to avoid their poor business practices. Little does that manager know that you just told 78,000 of your closest friends about his company!

We use Pacifico Airport Valet when we travel by plane from Philly. They don't always wash the car (weather is a factor) but the valets have always been courteous and their service is prompt.

We noticed parking is about $8/day or so. We ended up making a ressie at the Days Inn in Chester for the night before our flight. We got the room for $58 with one day of parking included. Each additional day of parking is $2 and they have a 24 hour airport shuttle that runs every 1/2 hour. So, for about the same price it would have cost us to park for 8 days, we can now spend a night near the airport so we don't have to drive down from Easton at 3:00 AM.

Is that a secured lot and do they have a guard on duty? Chester is not a very nice area (read that to mean the most impoverished city in the state). I would not leave my car unattended anywhere in Chester for any length of time, regardless of the price.

I travel pretty frequently and always use Express Park.
They have the best service. I have never had any issues with them. They have a bright fenced in lot
They have the most friendly drivers.
They are 8.95 per day.

I have used Sunpark and Smartpark as well.
ExpressPark gets my hands down vote.

Just saw your count down Travlman1...How much are you willing to pay not to have your kids know????

Have fun...I'll be jealous....even though I just got back....

hearing some comments about it from other DIS'ers. We are still trying to decide if we should drive down the night before and stay somewhere or just head down early in the morning and park at the airport.

We always park right next to Sunpark at Kinney--been doing it for years now, and have never been upset with the service.

Thursday night I dropped my car off there before drving to FL with DH--I'm flying home tonight--and they questioned me as I walked out towards the front where DH was waiting for me. They ahve someone in the tower all night keeping an eye.

I always use Sunpark Scott way...right next to the airport and have never had an issue. Lot is always very secure. I love it and would recommend it to anyone. I usually buy the vouchers ahead of time to save money.

::yes:: Especially to the comment about the most friendly drivers.

Ask the person in the booth, when you leave, if they have any coupons. We always get one. Usually they are for $6-7, per day, rates.

Dopey Sharon....Aren't the drivers just the best?? What a group of cheerful guys.
Yes..I too use the coupons for a lower rate but the "regular" rate is 8.95.
They had sent me some coupons. I didn't know you could ask for them at the gate. Great news!

Zurgswife....are you blackmailing me??? LOL...we told the kids as a Christmas present. As we all know, planning and anticipating a DW trip is just like the time between Thanksgiving and Christmas. You want it to come, but not too fast!!
