We check in at Park Vue Inn on Sunday early afternoon, June 28th. We check out on Wednesday July 1st. Flight home is flexible. Family of four with older teens. We have three day park hoppers with MaxPass.

Question: Would you go to the parks Sunday afternoon and do half a day, or would you do the half day Wednesday morning to early afternoon?

If it was me I would do the 1/2 day on Wednesday. I would go shopping at DTD and have dinner at Goofy's on Sunday though to get my Disney fill on the first day.

Wednesday mornings are my very favorite time at Disneyland, so I’d be biased that way... but it kind of depends on your preferences and what a “half day” actually means. If you’re in at 1:00 on Sunday and can stay until 10-11, that’s a lot more hours than if you just stay until 1 on Wednesday, for instance... and Sunday would give you an extra night to catch nighttime shows if you’re really into those... so it just depends.

I’ll probably do a leisurely day on Sunday in the parks and catch the nighttime shows. I do boot camp style usually, so my wife will appreciate a slow afternoon and evening in the parks!

Sunday usually has longer park hours, so you could potentially stay really late. Wednesday at park opening will be a lot less busy, so you could get a lot more rides done. You can also get a lot of rides done easier late on a Sunday night. So, the preference will be up to you if you prefer later night or early morning.

We will be there exactly a week before you, arriving on Sunday the 21st and leaving Wednesday evening. I decided to upgrade to 4 days park hoppers because it was only $25 pp different. I knew we would want to go to Disney when we arrive, but Wednesday would be much more empty so that way we can do both. However, that's just my two cents and what works for my family.

are the older teens into Fantasyland? If not, then Sunday night might provide for more rollercoaster opportunties as the crowd thins out after about 8:00. Whereas, on the best day of the week, Wednesday, they will be bumping up against all the rollercoaster folks.

I would be too concerned about leaving for the airport on time on Wednesday morning. I would hit the ground running on Sunday and then take time to sit around DTD and do last minute shopping on Wednesday.
