Do you have any Sunday morning rituals? I remember as a kid it was always church first thing. Then stop at the "candy store" for a newspaper, home, spent the rest of the morning leisurely reading the paper. Other times after getting the paper, Dad would take us out for breakfast, then home.

I haven't done anything on a consistent basis since I've been out all these years. This morning I'm headed to church, and it feels like the old days. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Do you have any rituals? Choose all that apply. :)

For us it is church and then out to lunch with friends after. Today is actually "off" for us as we are going to my dad's instead.

Usual routine is 7 am Mass followed by stopping for the paper. Then back home to relax.

Starbucks and Target in the early am and usually every other week we go to Cape May in the late afternoon to visit MIL. In the summer we go to the beach in between. In the winter we go to church more often.

Go outside in our jammies to get the Sunday paper, split it up between me and DH, he takes his section to work at Disney and I share the comics with my kids.

Today was a little different - DH does not have to work today because of Frances, and the paper was still delivered!

I LOVE my Sunday paper and I'm very mad because ours didn't get delivered today. Now what do i do with myself. :p

Edited to add I'm nowhere near Hurrican Frances or any other severe weather or I wouldn't be complaining. That's understandable.
Edited again to add that we called the paper and they brought another one-yea!

Church and then pick up some fast food etc, rest of the day depends. I try to teach the ds that there is someone more important then themselves. We are definetely the minority in our neighborhood everyone else sleeps in and stays home.

I set my alarm for about 45 mins earlier than everyone else has to get up to get ready for church so that I can read the Sunday paper and drink my coffee. Then it's off to church!

I love Sundays.::yes::

Sunday ritual:
Pick up 3 people for church
Teach Deaf Small Group Class
Interpret worship service
Deaf ministry planning meeting
Drop 3 people home
DH and I go to lunch together.
Evening interpret New Members Class if needed

I take my son to 9 am mass ( sometimes my parents come with us ). After mass, I pick up my parents (if they went to church on Saturday ) and we go to McDonalds for breakfast. DD has a weekend job at a hotel and DH never goes to mass so they don't come. We had to miss church today because my DS is sick.:(

When I was a child, my mom used to take my sister and I to church, but now I wake up, go on the computer, read the newspaper and just do things around the house and we usually go shopping.

Up around 6:00
at church by 7:30 for choir & orchestra warm-up
worship service at 8:00
Bible study at 9:15
home by 11:15
BIG lunch at noon

:wave2:

I see we have leisurely people and busy people.

Talking Hands... You don't rest at all do you? :faint: ;)

I just registered at our new church today. We'll see how things go. Looks like they have a few interesting things going on. :)

We go to Borders when they open at 10am. We have coffee/juice and DD and I share a cinnamon roll. Then we do some errands. :)

I get up early enough to read the Sunday paper, then head to church for choir practice then 11:00 service. I go to my parents for Sunday dinner then spend the day at home, go to my sister's or take care of my Longaberger business. And then to MKK Women's Chorale at 7:00. I love Sunday! If I have to miss church due to illness or weather (AKA SNOW :scared1: ), I feel as if I haven't started my week.

:sunny:

We get up about 7:30, DH & DS17 head for church about 9:00, they are both on the worship team, DH worship leader, DS plays bass and he also goes to Sunday School.

I get there with DS 14 about 10:00, service starts at 10:15. After church we pick up lunch at McDonalds. Then it's time for the mandatory "Penticostal nap"!!!

Sounds like everyone has good days. I need to get in a ritual. If nothing else, do it for DS. I loved the routine each Sunday as a kid even if I didn't want to go to church.

If I'm at mom's for the weekend, Sunday is my day to sleep in, and to catch up on homework.
If I'm at dad's house for the weekend he drags us out of bed at around 7 and we go get bagels and have breakfast at his office.

Church for the girls and myself every Sunday morning. I teach Sunday School and play the organ at church. After church, we eat at my brother's cabin with my entire family- that's 23 folks plus whatever friends the kids bring.
