Suncream

A stupid question but does anyone know if suncream has a shelf life,would the one used last year still give the same protection or should we buy new?

Hi Vicky,

I believe it has an expiry date and that it gradually loses "full" power when that date goes past. If you are worried I would buy more, sunburn is a truly horrible thing to experience both from the pain and long term damage perspective.

I think it does and that you are right that it wouldn't give you the same protection the next year. I would buy new if I was you.

On our first day we go to Walmart and buy some there - very cheap !!

A word of warning. Your suitcases take a lot of pounding in the cargo hold of an aeroplane - last time when I opened my suitcase the shampoo bottle had exploded and spilt all over my clothes!
So this time shampoo and sun tan lotion can wait until we arrive!!
