Sun Screen Wipes ???

I am also looking for the wipes and when I looked up Coppertone WaterBabies single use packs (pack of 12 for $9.99), I didn't read anything about them being WIPES! Am I understanding that they are just little packets of sunscreen and not wipes?

Can anyone who has the product tell me what the active ingredients are in Smart Shield? I searched the website and couldn't find this info.

Also, the Water babies avialable in the packets is the older formulaiton that does not provide broad spectrum preotection. The newer formualtion called Water Babies SPectra does not seem to be avialable in the individual packets.

OK, now after investigating the Smart Shield foil packets the also appear to be just packets of sunscreen and not Wipes. The bulk canister of sunscreen and insect repellant are wipes. I am wanting single use packets of sunscreen in a wipe or towellete form also. Does anyone have a brand name I could try to find?

:Pinkbounc Thanks tmarkis! I dont know how I missed that?:Pinkbounc
I'm off to order them now. Phew the search is over!!!!!:teeth:

Not to be a total downer.....

In theory these wipes are a great idea however I urge you, especially if you are using the wipes for small children, to check the experiation dates on the packages.

Case in point... last weekend I volunteered from 9am to 5pm at a charity golf tournament and it was blazing hot. I am a loyal sunscreen user all year round so I should have known better and followed my own advice. Part of the "gift packets" at this tournament was sunscreen wipes. I know for a fact they were purchased just days before the tournament. Due to the sun I used several throughout the day. Never, and I repeat never have I been so burned in all my life. The wipes were expired. Several other volunteers and golfers were also severly burned.

Be sure to check the experation dates!

FYI, for those on the lookout for the wipes check BJ's (a wholesale club, similiar to Sam's or Costco). I saw them there a while back but you do have to buy quite a large quantity of them.

Thanks PugLover for the heads up. I just got my order today and the first thing I did was check the exp. date. It says "exp. 07/05" I was surprised to see that they lasted for more than one year.

For anyone thinking about ordering from SmartSheild...they a have a one per person, order online, retail purchase only coupon. It's good for 10% off your entire order. Just use coupon code 7501.

If you don't have time to order them, why not order them online and have sent to your hotel? Others have had food, packages, etc. sent on ahead. Just call your hotel first to see if its ok/

An alternative to the wipes, which I looked all over for, is a sun stick, spf50, from Hawaiin Tropics for the non-infants in the group. It's smaller than a stick of deodorant, but larger than the sticks for faces. I bought several of these, keep one in my purse. It's small enough to fit in a pocket or fanny pack. Took it to the ballgame a few weeks ago so I didn't have to carry a bag and be "searched" on the way into the park. I am burn through car windows, and I didn't even get pink when using this. For infants, there is one by Waterbabies.

Bought mine at our local supermarket and Walgreen's.
