Sun Oct 17th Studio Wait List Odds?

I planned a last minute weekend with DD for 10/16-10/17, I scored the Sat night at BCV...but waitlisted myself for "any" DVC studio that might come available for the Sun night. Is this a long-shot? They don't tell you (or even give an inference) as to what number you are on the list or what your chances are, which is frustrating. Should I start making other plans fo the Sun night? Any short qualitative input is appreciated...

You have a chance, but not a good one, IMHO. The "one night anywhere" plan is the option with the best odds of something coming through though, so you've already done what you can to increase your chances. But I'd make a back up plan somewhere for that Sunday night if you haven't already.

It's always a good idea to make a back up plan when you need to use a waitlist - especially so in your case. You are within the 31 day window, so if you end up cancelling the trip, the points you used for the BCV studio will go into the holding account.

Be sure to call 7 days ahead of arrival if nothing has come through for you (all waitlists go away at that time) and then daily if you still want a DVC room.

P.S. AFAIK, MS can't really tell where you are on the waitlist. It's a complicated process/system. However, they will stop taking waitlist requests if there is no chance at all of it coming through.

I think you should feel a lot of hope. We were waitlisted for Thanksgiving day, just at OKW and that came through. After that we changed our dates and added the day before Thanksgiving and we were waitlisted for that just recently and it also came through at OKW.

We used Pop Century as a back up. It's cheat and we just wanted a place to sleep. We are there for the parks after all.
