What is the weather like?
I am taking my son in July 2011 to attend soccer camp for 2 weeks.

Any pointers on what I should not miss while I am there?

July (and August) should be the high summer months and temps can reach 28 degrees

thats said this is England and our weather is wierd so bring a jacket and an umbrella :lmao:

have a great trip xx

I agree with Natalie......maybe bring a little of everything as it really can be quite unpredicatable.

Why don't you post again a week or so before your trip & we can can tell you what it has been like & maybe give you more of a better idea what to expect.

Just to clarify that's 28 degrees celcius or around 80 degrees Farenheit. But as said before the weather is very changable (which is probably why the British like to talk about it so much!!) and often quite wet at any time of year.

While it can get hot in the UK, it's very rare for us to have temperatures of 28C/80F. If we do, it lasts for about a day. That's why we visit Florida so often! :rotfl:

When anyone asks me what to wear for our weather I always recommend dressing in layers.

As already mentioned, it can be really changeable and that includes distinct changes of temperature within the same day!

It also depends where in the UK.

Scotland tends to be a lot colder than say the South of England, so it all depends!

Bring a wide range of clothes, especially for outdoor football as it could get chilly!
