I bid on and won a 3night 2BR suite at either Summerfield Suites locations in Orlando. :smooth:

Any info on either location, tips, comments, problems, etc. are encouraged for posting, please! I just need to figure out when to go next, now...

Thanks!

We just returned from a 4 night stay in a 2BR suite at the LBV location, using a great special rate I found on these boards. We usually stay on-site , but we were in Orlando to bring daughter for WDW college program so we did not spend any time in parks, other than visiting downtown Disney( a few minutes away), so I can't tell you about the hotel park shuttles. We were very happy with the resort. It's located just down the road from the Crossroads center/entrance to Disney. The hotel itself is right near Winn Dixie, Eckerds, Walgreens, and may other restaurants and shopping areas, as well as highways and routes to parks. Our suite was spotless and the breakfast was good. The bedrooms are quite ample, though the "living room" is somewhat small. Kitchen has full size refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, small stove, coffeemaker. Shopping service is available. The pool area is very nicely landscaped and I think there is a jacuzzi. The staff was very accomodating. You might want to become a member of the Wyndham by Request program before you arrive and notify the hotel of your number. It's free to join(just go to website of same name) and they personalize your room to your needs(it was great to have lots of feather pillows waiting when we checked in at 1am), a few snacks and drinks were in the refrig. and you can request a 2pm checkout. I don't think you'll be disappointed with your stay-have fun!

The way to decide which location is which parks (if any) you will be going to. The LBV one is right by Disney and the I-Drive one is closer to Universal.

We stayed at the LBV one a couple years ago and agree with the above poster. Very clean, good breakfast and good location.

Buzzme - thanks for the report. I'd seen somewhere else that the living room was small in relation to the rest of the rooms/kitchen.

DianeV - I was thinking either location would be fine, though leaning toward LBV for closeness to Disney.

Belle6 - Didn't win this as a Skyauction but as part of a Silent Auction at my daughter's daycare center. I have until 12/04 to use it.

I'm trying to figure to use it in late March for MegaCon (huge comic book convention, closer to the I-Drive location), or in January 04 for my next (???) WDW Marathon.

Thanks to all!

I stayed at the I-Drive location earlier this month. Very nice, very clean. We stayed in a 1BR and it was more than enough for me, my sister and my son. She likes to stay up late watching TV so she slept in the living room. We had the bedroom and it was very nice and enough for us.

The Kitchen blew my mind for one particular reason, it had an OVEN! I always stay in suites and RARELY see an oven! Loved it for reheating things! Microwaves do a lousy job of reheating anythng with bread on it.

The breakfast was a continental one and if you wanted an omelet, scrambled eggs or a belgian waffle there was a $3.00 charge. The staff was very helpful and friendly!

When we stayed there it was VERY cold so we didn't use the pool. We had a pool view, though, and it was beautiful to see especially at night.

I agree with the others, this property is perfect if yo're going to SeaWorld or Universal but if you're going to Disney the LBV is better.

I would recommend it to anyone.
