Anybody have any experience with this company?

I found an ad online so I registered and of course won a "free" vacation. By the time I was finished with the sales manager, they were offering the following:

1) 4 Days/3 nights in Orlando, with (2) 2 day/2 park tickets to US/IOA

2)5 days/4 nights at Sandos resort in Playa del Carmen, Mexico

3) 5 days/4 nights at Occidental resort in Grand Punta Cana, DR

All of this for the low, low price of $299. (total, not per person, good for 2 adults/2 children under 18)

I haven't agreed to it, I have til 6:00 pm today to call them back (said I didn't have a credit card on me) but it seems like if we only did the Orlando portion, we would have gotten our money's worth...the other trips would be a bonus.

I just wondered if anyone here had taken advantage of one of these timeshare promos with this company, and if they are reputable. Also, how can I find out the "all inclusive" rates if we choose to buy this promotion and take the other trips...she didn't say but I assume the promo is room only and we would have to pay out of pocket for the all inclusive portion.

I would also find out where they are going to have you stay. Summer Bay has a hotel section that isnt supposed to be very nice I have heard.

We bought a promotion like this a few years ago, although not with the company you have named. When we booked in orlando, we did not stay at the resort they had advertised, but rahter they put us up in AmeriHost out on 192. We had to sit through a very long 3 hour timeshare presentation. they say 90 minutes, but 3 hours is the average. Ours included a stay in Daytona (no problem) and Clearwater (no problem). However, when we tried to use the advertised free nights out of county, the dates to go were "low season" which meant almost every week was "high season" and we could not use the free time. We complained to the company and they offered us a stay back in Orlando for free the next summer. However, we ran into the same problem, with most everry week being declared "high season" and we could only use the reservation during "low season". Lastly they had advertised our return trip to stay in hotels like DTD Hilton, when in reality we had to stay in some seedy hotel somewhere that got terrible reviews on Trip Advisor. We complained to the state of Florida and they had received a lot of other complaints about the company.

I would be very careful if I were you and ask about the issues I have brought up before purchasing. Good luck. :cool2:

I wouldn't take the off unless you are very strong. They are hard core sales people and your lucky to get out alive. Summerbay is a nice hotel complex. I stayed there one yr. and saw many people being lead around with a salesperson. If you can really say NO, don't go.

I almost forgot to mention .... the out of country promotions to Cancun, etc. when we tried to book we also were told that we had to use their travel agent to book the airfare, which came out to a much higher price than we could have gotten on a charter out of Toronto, buffalo or Cleveland. :cool2:

Thanks for the feedback, I didn't bother calling them back. I have no issues doing a timeshare presentation since A) there is no way on earth that I would buy a timeshare directly from the company, as there are too many reputable timeshares available resale for pennies on the dollar, and B) we can't afford to buy a timeshare even if we were tempted. Our stays in 2 & 3 bdrm condos in Orlando have generally cost us about half of what the maintenance fees of a timeshare would be. Why would I buy in when I can stay there anyway for the cost of renting from an owner or buying a week on skyauction? I am sure I could also contact Sheraton or Marriott directly to see what dedicated timeshare promos they are running, and maybe get a good deal directly from them. At least then I would know where we would be staying!

The out of country stuff appeals to me, until I start looking at airfare for 4, and the cost of upgrading to "all inclusive". When I want to go to Mexico or the Dominican, I'll get a sale on sellofvacations.com, or somewhere reputable.

If someone here's of a good deal for the last week of Jan/11, let me know. As I said, I don't mind to do the timeshare presentation, especially if they give out attraction tickets as well as a discounted rate.

I got the same call for the same promotion I told them to hit the road and I called the fraud line and they said stay away and don't give them any CC info hang up . DO NOT GIVE YOUR INFO OR TIME OF DAY TO THEM . Just a a warning because I checked into them after I got the call .
