Summer Vacation! Where are you going this year?

I am still deciding here on my up coming trip in Feb. (I am debating to go to Mexico or Bahamas or just stay at WDW or do another Disney cruise trip!) I don't think I am ready to think about summer trip yet...not just yet. But as soon as I am done with my Feb trip, I'll let you guys know!! I hope it will be another Hawaii trip!! :flower1:

We do Orlando every other summer as a big group of family & friends. We're doing 4 days on the Wonder, followed by 6 days at the Beach Club and 4 days at The Hard Rock. We really wanted a 7 day DCL cruise, but they are bringing the Magic to California. Honestly, you couldn't get me to cruise the Mexican Riviera if it were free.

We will be taking many weekend trips to basketball and soccer tournaments from March until July (including a week at Penn State) that will end with our WDW trip from 8/4 to 8/11.

Hoping to get to WDW 1st or 2nd week of December. We didn't make it to WDW in 2004 (home renovations).

Heading up to Raymond, Maine to visit my in-laws for about 5 or so days at the beginning of August. They live on a lake, so the kids are going to spend a lot of time with them so dh and I can finally play tourist.

The 2 things that I want to do the most are go to Barr Harbor and walk around downtown Portland by the docks.

If anyone has any suggestions as to what we should do besides go to Kittery and Freeport I welcome them. PLEASE!

Not much, I need to get a job first!!

We are heading to Myrtle Beach for a week in the beginning of May for my little brother's college graduations. DH may go back over the holiday weekend for a golf weekend... if he does and I have a job! I will head to WDW that weekend with my little brother!

We are also going home in early Sept for a wedding. Home is Cape Cod!! I don't think we will make it out any other time for the summer, unless a long holiday weekend.

We are planning on doing another cruise in October for our one year anniversary with my parents! :)

Weight Watchers here I come!! :)

DH & I are trying to decide whether to go on a cruise around the Hawaiian Islands or a cruise to Alaska (this is our 30th Anniversary year!) I have a niece getting married in Louisiana in late summer, but we may or may not go to that. (Last time a niece got married, we stopped off in Louisiana and then on to WDW!)

We'll be going to Haiti, Jamaica, Grand Bahama Island, and Grand Cayman on a 9-night Royal Caribbean cruise :boat:

Then DH and I will be celebrating our anniversary :bride: :groom: ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo with Mickey and Minnie at Disney World!

And our annual trip to the beautiful New Jersey shore :sunny:

I don't get to travel in the summer, as the restaurant I work at is on the beach at the shore, so you can imagine how busy we are then.

In the summer, I take many last minute trips to AC, does that count?

I guess I can't complain about not vacationing, because I am essentially at the beach all summer.

I just booked our trip and have fingers crossed that my mom will be well enough for me to leave her.

In June, we're renting a house on Mahoe Bay, Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands. Taking the kids on this trip, and we have friends (two other families) renting homes there with us. We plan to do lots of boating and lazing on the beautiful beach in front of our rental house.

We have a family reunion July 1st-3rd in South Carolina and then we'll spend 4th of July and the rest of that week in the mountains of Western North Carolina.

I wish I knew. DH is low man at work so we have to wait to see what vacation time is open. Last year the only vacation time open when the kids were out of school was in October, so we are just waiting until its his time to pick before we decide what to do.

Not yet sure :confused3 Hopefully England and Scotland....but I plan on spending most of my summer going to concerts :rockband:

Heading to Old Orchard Beach Maine in August. Maybe a quick weekend trip Memorial Day weekend as well. :D

July 23-30 - Ocean Isle Beach, NC. Each summer we rent a house with my two sisters, my brother and our families! I'm REALLY looking forward to this, we always have SO much fun.

August - the boys and I will probably go visist my sis who lives on Lake Travis in TX. Hubby will stay home and work and take care of the critters.

Various camping trips through out the summer, probably mostly to Salter Path, NC.

We've got a lot of short little hops planned to visit friends--going to Flint, MI in a few weeks, and we'll spend time settling into the FLorida house. But we have a seven day cruise on Royal Caribbean booked in October with friends. We have been anxiously awaiting taking another cruise. We had been booked on the Magic for a back-to-back last year, but cancelled it because we didn't have the vacation time left with building and moving into the house.

At any rate, we were able to book the Royal Suite for the three of us for the same price as the Cat 3 on the Magic!! Woot!

Our friends also have teens, so our son will have his buddies to hang out with.

Well we are getting an early jump on the summer vacation by going to disney april 23-may 2 and now oldest ds 17 is a lifeguard so that pretty much ruins our whole summer. They dont like when he takes off, if he goes back to his old job it might work, but he wants to try a new place. We also want to go to Arlington , Texas around July 17-19 I think. The NY Yankees will be playing the Rangers for 3 days and we love to see our old friends where we used to live and stock up on that great Texas food, lots of barbeque for us!!. If DS wants to look at any colleges, I guess we will have to fit that in too. We will go back to disney in december since our summer is pretty well shot.

At this point no definite plans. DH will be home on leave for 3 weeks SOMETIME this summer, but who knows when.

in the meantime, my parents and I are toying with the idea of taking my kids to DL for a few days right before school starts. I want to see what they will have for the 50th birthday celebration! :wizard:
