I haven't heard of any start/end dates. Not even sure it will be active when we are down there for the Pin Celebration in Sept.
They seemed to have started it late, however. We were there for summer vacation the week after the 4th and it hadn't started during our trip. Or has Disney redefined the dates for Summer?
Last August it was called "I conquered the World". It was the same, more or less. You go to each location, and answer a trivia question. You get your board stamped, and buy a pin. (Pins for sale to anyone). When you get all 7 (?) stamps, you get a free build a pin base.
The maps actually start this Sunday. They will be around while supplies last. Here's the whole run-down from Disney:
Guests can participate in this game by receiving a game board at one of 7 locations across property. The guest can then answer the trivia question and receive a stamp on their map. There will be pins available for purchase at each of the locations. Once the guest has received all their stamps, they can go to Disney's Pin Trader's at Downtown Disney's Marketplace and Receive a FREE Build- a- Pin Base while their supplies last!
There are 7 different pins that are pictured through out the game board. Only 1 game board per guest and all guests need to be present in order to receive the stamp for a given location. This game will start on August 10th and run through the month as long as supplies last.
The locations that you can get game boards and pins are: Disney's Pin Traders( Downtown Disney Marketplace)
Exposition Hall ( Magic Kingdom)
Gift Station ( Ticket and Transportation Center)
Pin Central ( EPCOT)
Gift Shop ( EPCOT)
Sorcerer's Hat Shop ( MGM)
Movieland Memorabilia ( MGM)
Island Mercantile ( DAK)
Outpost (DAK)
Pin Station ( Contemporary)
D Sports (DWWS)
Boardwalk Pin Cart ( DVC Members Only)
Beach Club ( DVC Members Only)
Wilderness Lodge ( DVC Members Only)
Conch Flats ( Old Key West)
Conpany D locations ( Cast Members Only)
For the Cast members and DVC Members, there are spots on the game board for these pins. Have a great time out there getting your pins and stamps!
If it is anything like last year they will have maps atleast until the pin celebration. I'm sure the open edition pins will be around for a while after that.

Just a thought to " Scratch42 "
Did you actually go to the bumper link for
"Wat kind of Disney ride are you"
because if you had I think that the foul language that was present there is not appropriate for a Disney board site where the whole family comes to view Disney information.
