This summer (in 29 days and counting...) my family (my mom, my sister (23), and her boyfriend (22)) and I (19) are going to Disney World. (YAY!)
This is a trip for firsts for us; it's his first trip, it's the first trip I've done most of the planning for, and it's the first year we (mostly me) have questions Google can't answer properly for us.
So, where better to ask than the one and only Disboards?

My sister wants milk while we're there, for cereal. Personally, I don't think it's a good idea to take milk there in a cooler. Mostly because we'd probably forget to change the ice and it'd be spoiled by the time we got there. So, what are your thoughts on that? Do they sell gallons (1/2 gallons of milk) at AoA? I've asked around and I've gotten both yes and no as answers.

Also, I have booked a tour to do the WAT in Animal Kingdom for my sister and I. And I just found out..(was reminded), that my sister is allergic to melons. Can I call and make changes to my reservation this close to the date we're going and tell them that now? I already told them she was allergic to nuts. Since we've never done a tour before, I don't know what to expect. I know we should wear long-ish shorts and closed toe shoes, but what kind of top? And what kind of shoes? Could I go wearing Toms or Converse? (This is what I'm the most stressed out about, if you can't tell.)

And finally, would you personally wear a dress to Disney World? If so, how much does it affect your enjoyment?

I know these are all random questions, but I want this trip to be great. Thank you all in advance!

I wouldn't bring milk in a cooler. The food court, Landscape of Flavors, sells milk by the 1/2 gallon and in cartons. The gift shop, Ink & Paint, sells it in 16oz plastic bottles.

Yes, definitely call and have her melon allergy added. It's not too late. I'd avoid Toms and, if your Converse are comfy, I see no issues with wearing them. When we did the trek I wore my (then) 11-year-old Chucks as the only other closed toe shoes I own are heels or boots. They suited me just fine.

Dresses, I can't comment on as I'm not a dress person. A lot of people tour the park in them and most recommend wearing a pair of bike shorts underneath to help with chafing and/or wind gusts. :upsidedow

You should be able to purchase milk in the AoA food court area. It's usually sold in 1/2 gallon containers.

It's not too late to call with allergy information.

I wouldn't wear Toms, but your Converse shoes should be okay.

I rarely wear dresses at home, but I actually like to wear them in the parks. Nothing fancy, just plain cotton sundresses. They're comfortable in the Florida heat.
