We are going to do a week-long rental in August next year before going on a cruise.

We will have an 18-month-old so we will be taking it easy spending afternoons at the pool and a lot of park time at MK.

I have narrowed it down to either BLT or BCV. We are staying at BLT in December and I think we are going to love the proximity to the MK and the monorail.

We stayed at the BC last October and loved it too especially SAB. We just loved the atmosphere of that whole area.

That easy walk to the MK is enticing at BLT. Anyone been to either of these resorts with a little one around that age? Thanks :)

I think in both cases, you need to watch your child closely. If you go to BCV, you'll want to hang around the YC side of SAB where the kids' area is located. Not as much depth, might even be a little more space.

Just get a one bedroom at least in both cases. Then you have the washer and dryer to clean your clothes before you go home. And help keep stains of the kiddo's clothing.

if mk is your park of choice - would definitely go with BLT (I stay in studio and use the laundry mat on the first floor)

blt is a short walk to the MK. From BCV you would need to ride a bus that you would share with at least YC - if not D&S and BW as well.

epcot is a monorail ride from BLT. now yes you have to change monorail at TTC - but if the monorails are running properly - it won't take you too long.

the pool at BLT is more for little ones than adults. It is very shallow and the slide seems to attract all ages.

there is also one of those fountain things that little ones seem to like even more than the pool (problem at BLT for some reason teens are also attracted to this thing)

my problem is the MK - seem to stay at the MK much more when staying at BLT - than any other resort.

Thank you for your input. The rental agent I use didn't have any points to rent for BCV or BLT so I am on their wait list anyway. So we'll see.

We are staying at BLT in December. We plan on using the laundromat. It wasn't worth it to me to pay pretty much twice the price for the convenience of the laundry and a kitchen we won't really use. A kitchenette will be sufficient for our needs.

Was just trying to save some money by renting vs buying through Disney. We have annual passes so if the rentals don't come through we hope to get a discount through our APs.

if you have to wait - then at BLT you will probably have to take a lake view.

standard and MK views will probably be gone.

bcv - does not matter - all rooms are the same amount of points.
