Summer special - package or separate?

The summer special of 25% off Disneyland hotels is up! I was so excited when I saw it this morning. We are going June 27-30th. I can save about $190 if I don't do the package. To be honest I am not even sure we would use the preferred seating and I will probably go to the early entry for LM instead of TTMM. Will we be missing out on any other special treatment if I book separately? When we go to WDW I always book packages but mainly for free dining.

The data is already up on AAA's website. You can book the package through them and still get the discounted hotel rate. The quote I'm looking at is $500 less than it was a couple of days ago!

Argghh!! The offer ends August 13 , and when do we arrive?? Of course, August 14!! sigh. Go figure.

If they'll give you the discount for all the nights, it might be cheaper to arrive on the 13th!

FYI, Enchanted, with the AAA package I just booked, I got the diamond card (discounts at some places in Downtown Disney), free (daytime) parking, the pin, lanyard and luggage tags, Toontown Morning Madness, preferred seating at the shows in DCA and a character call.

I was unable to combine this with the Disney Visa benefits (for a package) but I will obviously still be able to use the Disney Visa in the parks for the free photo and discounts. But we won't get the preferred parade viewing or the backpack. For hundreds of dollars, I was okay giving that up!

We weren't planning on going to DLR this summer but given the Summer deal we'll be there 5 nights at the Paradise Pier starting August 8th. I decided not to do a package and book seperately. I think I'm more excited than the kids and my hubby!
