Summer Park hours

We will be arriving June 21st, and as of now, with the exception of the late extra magic hours, all parks are scheduled to close at 9 or 10 pm, for our 10 day stay, which seems way earlier (except AK) than our previous trips in 2015 and 2008. I think I’ve heard, as we get closer, they will extend hours and add second showings of things like Fantasmic and River of Light. For those of you more in the know, how likely is this to happen and how far out do you think they’ll post this? Finding it hard to believe MK is open until 11 this week but going to close at 10 at the end of June. Thank you for any insight you can offer.

June hours were finalized on May 12 last year. Hours were extended almost every night for MK and AK.

There is absolutely no reason especially in the summer months to close at 10:00. With the heat, prices, and crowds there is no reason for MK not to be open until 11 or 12.

While I agree, looking at 2018 historical hours for June and July, the only days MK was open later than 10pm was June 1 & 2. And a 9am opening all June and July. Looks like a 10pm closing even on the 4th of July weekend!

It's still too early for June hours to be updated, they haven't even updated April's hours yet. Check again around mid-May.

Just FYI, I'd be cautious with those hours as final fact - there are lots of June and July 2018 final updates that are not reflected on those pages. I know you wouldn't know that so not meaning to pick on your post, just wanted to point it out for others.

Just did a search for another site and found very different historical hours for July. Many 11pm closings. and 1am on July 4 and 5.

I miss those really late MK hours with three hours of Evening Extra Magic Hours.

I have pics of DD and I at 2AM with very low crowds. It seems the only way to get that now is during DAH events.

MK closes at 10 with EMH from 10-12, it seems the crowds really do not thin out.

I was there during late June last year. Only did two park days, but I'm pretty sure I remember MK's hours being 8am-11pm most days when I was checking park hours just before the trip. It definitely was the day we spent ALL. DAY. at MK. We were the first in line at the security check from the buses and left after the Kiss Goodnight. Twas a good day.

I feel certain MK, AK, and HS will extend hours. I'm pretty sure Epcot is always 9am-9pm with the exception of EMH.

It should be done at least 60 days in advance for convenience of planning and making fast pass selections.

We’ve always found that the preliminary hours are sufficient for FP plannning. The extra hours are nice, but during that last hour of his evening the lines are usually short enough that FPs often aren’t necessary.

Does anyone know if there is a specific "window" when they update hours? Such as within 6 weeks, 4 weeks? We are going over Memorial Day again this year and all parks listing a 9pm closing which of course is not right but just curious when the update should occur. (We typically go that weekend and for a few years MK was open 24 hours the Friday prior to Memorial Day!)

What I mean by this update is one which covers multiple days over that month period, and is usually mostly MK updates, with DHS and DAK updates being more sporadic, roughly speaking. Last year, May hours were updated on April 13.

We are June visitors since 2007(every other year) when my son was entering first grade. Always went the second week of June as soon as school ended. Our last trip was June 2017 and now coming up in June 2019. I am a planner and as we got close to June they did at times added a few hours to parks especially MK. We love the late evenings in June. I don't like the sun and we have some great memories late at night. So hoping for some adjustments this year.
