Summer MK hours...

Do we had any reason to anticipate that MK might be open beyond the 10PM currently listed for Jul-Aug? Any rumors or "inside" knowledge... bus driver info maybe?

I ask because last year they kept the 10PM close in Aug, which we felt was ridiculous for the summer, particularly as in prior years it was open until 11, 12 or even 1 in Aug.

We always like to take a break midday when it is CRAZY hot and go back at night... and it seems silly to have NOTHING to do in WDW after 10pm during the summer...

It could increase, too far out to know. But I would plan on MK usually closing at 10pm, add in a couple emh extending it to midnight.

Better chance of HS having longer hours during the summer with TSL opening

I think you’re absolutely right for planning purposes. I’m just hoping they extend.

Seemed crazy last year to have attendance where it seemed to be and close at 10pm.

Look at last summers times. All early except those few EMH nights, and hardly any of those, like the same as scheduled this summer already. The exception was Animal Kingdom which was new and packed. And we have already seen Disney do that for the new toy story land this year. So using last year as a guide I don’t think any more late nights added. Unless the number of visitors is expected to be so much more than last year.

Yup — same as last year, as I said in my first post. Having been there last Aug, it seemed ridiculous given the heavy crowds all the way up until 10pm. With nothing to do afterwards except two rides open in AK.

I was hoping they would go back to the times from past years when MK was open until 11,12, or 1 as I said.

There were multiple threads discussing the much shortened hours last year. I’m hoping they reverse out of that. Thus my question as to whether there were any rumors or expectations around that so far this year.

I hate it that they have started closing at 10:00 in the summer. We went last August and it closed at 10:00.

We also were there last summer and thought it was ridiculous that they closed so early. In all of our other trips, MK was open late. We love late nights at the parks, hope they bring them back!

They did have a few 11pm closes the first couple weeks of June 2017 and we lucked out with one. So far they have updated June 1 with an 11pm close, I think, and Sat June 2 with a midnight close. I am hoping for Tuesday June 5th as an 11pm close as the Tuesday last year was.
