I was just wondering if anyone has known of anyone who has been accepted into a summer job in disney? i heard about it last year when i was on holiday there from my dads friend who works there (lucky person) and since then ive been interested and have looked up information on it. just wondered if anyone knew what kind of things i would do. thanx :D

I'm pretty sure that you have to apply to be a part of their college program to do short stints at WDW - one of the members here did have their son go work there for a year as his year out. He worked at the UK pavilion in Epcot - does anyone remember how Simon applied ?

try emailing jason@yummyjobs.com and ask about summer jobs. yummy jobs is the agency that disney use for the UK programmes.

There is an International Programme where you work in the UK part of Epcot for a year.

If you are hoping to go out this year then it will probably be too late to apply :(

The process usually takes about 6 - 12 months.

Disneyland Paris are hiring now - my daughter is in the process of applying. She speaks very good French so can apply for most of the jobs - there's also vacancies for people who don't speak French. I know it's not quite the same as sunny Florida, but might be a possibility, especially if it's just for the summer.
If you like I'll find out the address. Can't ask Amy right now as she's gone to France for Easter!!!!!

Hi jubileegirl.

I would be interested in any info about working in Paris!

Thanks

Just now im only 17 so im not quite old enough to apply but i would still really appreciate any help possible. thanks for everyones input.

Hi!
my daughter is also 17 and is desperately looking for a summer job . She has just applied for camp america, I know this isn't disney but as said in replies you might be too late to get a dis job.

Hi there! I promise to post the contact address as soon as Amy gets back (over the weekend we hope!)

My sister worked at Epcot in the UK pavillion in 2001/02 as part of the WDW International Program. She had a fantastic time.

I'm not sure there is an official web site but there is lots of info at the following unofficial web site:

www.wdwip.com

thanx for the help, ill need to look at the Disneyland Paris jobs which dont involve much knowledge of french because my french isnt that good. if i was going to apply for WDW next summer, when abouts do you think i should start applying? Thanks again for all your help

If I remember my sister's experience of WDW recruiting you request an info pack and application form, fill it in, send it back and wait. Disney make a few trips each year to the UK to interview candidates who they are interested in. If you are successful at interview your start date in Florida could still be quite a few months after your interview. It's not the fastest of processes and I think a great deal of patience is required.
