Does anyone know when the Character Meal prices increase?

I think it would be best for you to call Disney Dining at 714-781-DINE (3463) and ask them specifically as they would know best

I called and they told me for July 20 at Goofy's Kitchen for dinner, it's $35.99 for adults and $15.99 for kids.

However, that quote seems strange. Because on the getawaytoday.com site, the character dining voucher for Disney Premium Character dining says $38.00 adult and $20 child. Am I missing something? I thought this was a discount? Did they quote me wrong when I called?

Will the prices go down again in the off-season? I have a trip planned in September and I'm wondering if I should buy just in case they don't go down.

Character meal vouchers include tax & tip ~ typically the prices given by CMs on the Dining Line are pre tax and tip. Vouchers will always save you $$ at Goofy's & Ariel's.

Even with tax and tip included, you need to do the math (use 15% for tip and 8.75% for tax on the prices Disney quotes you). Some offer savings, some don't. When I looked at the ones I was considering, the big savers were Ariel's lunch/dinner, Goofy's dinner (and dinner only) and PCH Surf's Up breakfast. There may be others that save you money but those were the ones I was considering. Vouchers for Goofy's brunch weren't worth it and neither were they economical for the Storytellers breakfast.

You can also get them through Last Minute Travel a bit cheaper and that may push a few into the "savings" category. But you need to exchange an email they send you for vouchers at the park.

Regular/Premium refers to the restaurant - "Regular" includes Storyteller's Cafe, Plaza Inn, and PCH Grill (all character breakfasts - they are open for other meals but these are not with characters). "Premium" would be Ariels' Grotto (character breakfast or lunch) and Goofy's Kitchen (character breakfast/brunch or character dinner).

I believe Ariel's is stopping the "character stuff" sometime mid-afternoon to make way for the WOC dinner packages where there will be no characters.

Wow! You're right! Last Minute Travel is cheaper. I think I figured about a $24 savings.

So you just order the vouchers, take them to Goofy's Kitchen that evening of your reservations - and all is good when the bill comes? What do you mean I need to send a separate email?

Well at Goofy's you pay before you dine ~ so you'd present your voucher then.
