Summer Deals

My husband (who insists that we cannot go to Disney every year - arrgggghhh) has just announced that we can go this coming summer, if there are good deals/packages. I remember from last year something about a 4 for 7 or 3 for7. We usually go during Easter break, so I don't pay very close attention to summer discussion. (Now I wish I had!)

Can anyone give me any information about good rates in the summer? Probably the very last week of August. I'm also interested in when the deals usually come out. If I book early and a deal comes out, can I change my reservation? How hot is it really - Ok I'm just kidding because I know that answer.

Hello ~

Two years ago it was buy 4 get 3 free, last year it was buy 5 get 2 free, I'm not sure what they'll offer this year, since they haven't posted about it on the Disney web site yet. My girlfriend who is a CM says to wait until the new year to see what Disney offers, and I'm waiting too!

Check the MouseSavers.com - Historical Trends Page . Mary has a complete list of previous codes, when they became available and who could use them. Depending on when Labor Day falls, the codes may be available as early as mid-June or as late as mid-July.

You can always book a room-only ressie now, pay a single night's deposit on it and then wait for the discount codes to come out. When they do, you can change your ressie to a package (if that's whay you want) or alter the existing ressie for the better room rate. Your deposit would be applied to the new ressie.

This isn't quite answering your question, but I think summer is always a good bargain anyway. The parks are open considerably longer, which allows you to go early in the AM, then have a mid-day rest, then return in the PM. Also, you have more parades and fireworks every night.

I went to a training session last week on the new MYW packages. When the question was asked about summer specials, we were told they are spending the next 6 months or so focusing on the package. I think summer packages may come out late this year or not at all depending on the response to MYW

Those fairytale packages came out in March last year and 2003 as well.

If the packages are not discounted will there be room only codes or AP codes? Sandy what else did you hear? We are trying to figure out if we should stay on or off site this summer. Our group will have 8 and the off site condos are looking really good!
