Summer Crowds

I agree with what many others have said. We have always gone at peak times, mostly on the summer. If you plan your FP+ well and start early, it is certainly manageable, just know what to expect. It will be hot and there will be people. But, Disney is amazing so if you focus on that instead of the uncomfortable things, you can still have a really good time.

Funny, we are heading down for last week of June and Josh has mostly 8/9's but TP has much lower crowd estimates (especially F-Sun).

This is our 3rd trip that week. Hot, yes, but early touring made everything manageable. And very late touring. 10-midnight at MK is great! (When closing at midnight I mean). If you can do either extreme am or pm, avoid EMH parks and have a plan to ride popular stuff early (if SB), you'll be fine!

And upon further review, EasyWDW and TP couldn't be much further apart for 6/27/15 -- 9(EasyWDW) vs 5(TP)!!

We have booked for last week in August this year just to try it out as I heard it empties out a bit that week but I will be definitely checking out easywdw touring plan calendar before hand this time for sure. :)

I have found that Dadsguidetowdw dot com is pretty accurate re the crowd calendar..hes pretty much been spot on the last three years for us

all I know is we went last week of May last year and it was crazy busy...they said it was supposed to be a crowd level 7 but it was more like an 8/9 All we got to ride the whole day was about 4 rides..standby hours for Space Mountain and similar were over 120mins, tour groups and end of school classes were everywhere, we vowed we would never go that week again.

Wow. We were there June 1-7 and thought the crowds were very manageable. We rode Space Mtn at least ten times over the week and never waited more than 20 minutes or so. 4 rides in a whole day? We got on 16 rides in less than 4 hours one evening with no FP+. Sounds like we picked the right week to go.

The fringes are best - the times when at least part of the country is still in school. So late May/early June or late Aug. I've never been in June but we've been for Memorial Day weekend (in 2012) and found the crowds high but manageable and the weather hot but pleasantly so, great for swimming even at night but not miserable for park touring. We've also been in late Aug and the crowds were much lower (week of the 22nd, 2007) but the weather was hotter and stormier, enough so that we changed some of our park plans to work around the heat.

ok so just checking we were at the same place! Walt Disney world! LOL we went down 26th to 2nd June and really..we had never seen it so busy..perhaps we just hit the wrong park on the wrong day Im wondering, I remember walking in one day to Magic Kingdom and just hitting a wall of people, my 12 yr old complained the whole time as the standby line for Space mountain was never below 100 mins. We were in Magic Kingdom 3 days in a row and it was like this. Maybe we were in the wrong place at the wrong time. Even the day we went to Universal Studios Islands of adventure was a nightmare..we ended up leaving early at 2.30pm.

I am with you - we were there the last week of May and we found it crazy busy! We were down for Star Wars weekend and stayed the full week. It didn't really bother us much as we took it easy. But is was busy! We usually go the last couple weeks of August, so that is what we compared it to.
