Summer Concerts -- who have you seen?

DF and I have August plans that are crammed with concerts, which I LOVE because I'm a huge music addict! We'll be seeing:

- Tori Amos in Chicago, August 10th (my 6th time seeing her live!)
- Bruce Springsteen in Chicago, August 13th (for DF, who's a newbie Bruce fan)
- Radiohead in Wisconsin, August 23rd (my favorite band, I'm so excited!)

Will anyone here on the DIS be at these shows? If not, which concerts have you seen this summer?

DH and I saw Olivia Newton-John last month. DD, DS#1, & DDIL saw GooGoo Dolls & Bon Jovi last week. DS#3 is seeing Aerosmith in September.

I can't believe I'm going to post this for the world to see but I saw ABBA last week. A group of us (girls only) go every year. This year there were 15 of us. I took my DD her 1st concert, she's only 5, DH refuses to go!!! It was great, the concert was at an outside concert hall. There is a pavillion if you want to be covered but it is so much more fun to sit on the hill, picnic before the concert and dance the night away during the show. I haven't been to a "real" concert in years.

We did the same thing as tinaw, sat on the hillside at our county fair last night, except we did not see ABBA. We saw Meat Loaf!
It was a good show followed by awesome fireworks!

Took my 2 oldest ds to see Staind in Dallas last week. A 5 hour road trip for us. They were awesome and we even got to meet them!
Our next conert is Aug 2 taking my 2 oldesst again to see Summer Sanitorium with Metallica, Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park and Mudvayne.

Tuesday I am going to see Bon Jovi, the Goo Goo Dolls, and Sheryl Crow at Gillette Stadium . YEAH!!

August 2nd I am going with my mommy to see the Boston Pops Film Night at Tangle wood with John williams and JOSH GROBAN! WHOO

WOW aren't you the rock mama I think it's great. I took my 9 yo dd and her friend to see No Doubt and Avril Lavigne during the spring

It's a benefit concert due to SARS!

Thank goodness my boss is going so he is understanding!

Only one concert for me this summer. It was Matchbox Twenty. Sugar Ray and American Hi-Fi opened.

(But I do plan on catching Matchbox again on the Fall leg!!!)

Can you believe it. I was a teenager in the late 70's when they were popular. They have to be in the 50's. They put on a great concert at our County Fair. They had 4 standing ovations, no one would leave, I think they brought back to many memories and no one wanted to go home and face the real world.

Going to see James Taylor, tonight! At DTE Energy, probably the same place tinaw went to see ABBA. BTW tinaw, my girls would have loved it if I took them to see ABBA. I didn't know they were here.
