Summer camp-vent

My DD-8 is going to Girl scout camp on Sunday.

Background: Our council has 4 camps. Camp T, CAmp H ,Camp I and Camp O.
My DD was scheduled to attend 2 sessions at CAmp ). There was not enough enrollment at Camp O. So,thye decided to close it this year. 1 seesion was very popluar so they kept the girls enrolled and transferred that week to Camp I. Her other session was canceled.

Well.... I got my CC bill yesterday and they never billed me. I mailed in her payment at the end of May. The letter stated that if it wasn't paid while 30 days of arrival the girl would be dropped from camp.

Last night , I called the CC to find out if the camp had posted after closing date. It had not. I emailed the camp registar with my concerns.

This morning, I called down to the CAmp registar. Who tells me that I only had a $50 deposit on camp. This is the same person I talked to a month and a half ago about transferring a $50 deposit from another camp session*(which had been cancelled due to enrollment) to this balance. I had paid $100 in deposits. I was told to mail my dd payment and all the emails I had received regarding the credit to the registar.

I was upset because my DD is really looking forward to this and we had to pay the deposit by April 1st. I wanted to make sure that she was not dropped from camp, etc. or when we get to camp and they turn her away.

I offered to pay her balance over the phone. She takes my cc# and I tell her to make sure it it for $195 since I have already paid $100. She did fix that. Then, she tells me that she can not run my Cc until Tuesday because the cashier is out. How can I pay my balance and send her for Sunday?

The registar said to just take her to camp and not to worry about it. She would check with the cashier on Tuesday and find out if she had my payment. If not, she would run my card. I asked if I was double billed I would get a refund. She said yes. I felt like she was telling me that to get me off the phone.

I tried to contact the Director of Camping, but she was not in. She is the one that authorized the credit. I think my payment was set aside to verify the credit and never processed.

I contacted the director of Camp I. By this time , I was very frustared and had a break down on the phone. She was very nice and assured me that my DD was welcome to attend and still registered. She said that a lot of confusion was that girl scouts transferred my DD from another camp . That my payment went to our local council and then forwarded to another council.

I am ready for the worst when I drop her off at camp.

I have emailed the director of camps, registar, and Girls scout director regarding the situation. I have also, forwarded all the email regarding credits and camp.
