Hello! We are planning a trip to Disney in February 2008 and plan to stay at Summer Bay resort. My parents are going along and wil use one of their time share weeks there through RCI. I wanted to know if anyone has stayed there or heard anything about it. I'm excited about saving money by staying there, but still hope to get at least 2 nights on property just for my son. He wants to stay at ASSports in the worst way. LOL But I'd appreciate ANY info anyone might have about Summer Bay. I'd hate to get down there and see that my parents wasted their timeshare week on a dump!

THANKS!

It is a very nice place. The only thing is they have a couple of different sections. Some are nicer than others(as far as room size goes).I would stay here again. It is a little bit of a ride to Disney if there is a lot of traffic(15 min).

Go and enjoy yourself.

I just got back from a 4 night stay there. I thought it was really nice. We were in Bldg. 408 right next to a pool.

Thanks for your replies. The pictures we've seen on the internet certainly look nice, but you just never know. :-) We were supposed to go this February, however our little surprise kind of derailed that plan. LOL Now we are planning for next February.

We stayed at Summer Bay for a week last month and loved it! Everyone that works there are fantastic and they really keep up with this resort. Loved the pools and the lake at the club house. :thumbsup2

Have fun! :sunny:

We've stayed there twice and would happily go again. The last time we were in one of the 3br pool houses. My kids loved having their own pool, and the two master suites were nice. The first time we were in one of the older 2br units that only had a queen bed in the master. It was a little tight for us, since we normally have more room to spread out.

It's a bit of a drive out 192, but no real complaints other than that. We had a couple of maintenance issues, but nothing out of the norm.

If the balloon guy is there during the week, be sure and check him out. He's a master at balloon sculpture.

They've also built a new Walmart nearby which is quite convenient, and there is a Publix right next door.

Sheila
