Trip Report Summer at NPB - Day 3

It turned out we all woke early and were up at the park by around 9am. First stop was at the Emporium.



Abbey gave up on searching for the Aladdin ears and chose the Lion King ones instead. They're really cute.



We took our time strolling up Main St. The windows are always beautiful.















Off into Fantasyland, with a wee go at the sword

Abbey wanted to try and meet a princess as she'd never done this before so we made our way to the Princess Pavillion via the Mad Hatter's Tea Party





I always stop and look at this amazing wee shop - the detail is fantastic





We went to the exit line beside Small World for the Princess Pavillion. We stood in line for about 10 minutes then a CM came out to speak to us. She said that we could meet Snow White now or get a time to come back to meet Belle later on. Abbey chose Snow White and the CM said it wouldn't be too long.



We were very lucky to meet Snow White without too much of a wait. It was nice to see inside the Princess Pavillion. She asked us if we could name all 7 dwarfs and we did, lol.



The boys had been playing cards whilst they waited for us beside the maze, lol. I'm sure anyone walking past must have thought they were bonkers sitting playing cards in Disneyland Park.





Next up we did Small World. It's nice to see different rides open during EMH now.

We thought we'd take this opportunity to pop in and say hello to Mickey as we've only ever been in here once.







The CM showing us in to Mickey was so good. There was a family in front of us with two little girls and he was fantastic with them, talking about magic tricks and things. They were fascinated with him. Then it was our turn.









Mickey was great and he loved Abbey's hamburger themed Annual Pass holder - saying he was hungry now, lol.

Feeling hungry ourselves now we made our way through Discovery Arcade towards Salon Mickey.



I kind of knew they wouldn't have an exit turnstyle open at this time of the morning but I asked anyway and sure enough was directed to the exit at the opposite side of the park. Lots of people queuing up now to enter the park so we walked through Fantasia Gardens and were soon at the door of Salon Mickey. It was a wee bit busier today but we still managed to find some seats. The CM questioned us with our Annual Passes but when I explained we'd just been in the park she understood and we were soon enjoying our breakfast.



Filled up after our drinks and pastries, we were back into the park. Love entering the park from Salon Mickey...




We spent some time in the shops. Harrington's was practically empty.



Lewis got a lovely Minnie figurine for his friend's birthday and we enjoyed looking at the artwork. I liked this display.



The kids had never seen Mickey's Philharmagic so this was our next stop. A show was staring in 10 minutes when we got there so it was good timing.



I really like this wee show. Next up was BTM.

We wandered through Adventureland.



We made our way back to Discoveryland as we'd noticed some kind of music thing advertised at Videopolis starting at 1pm. When we got there and sneaked a peek inside we could see it was aimed more at younger kids so we didn't wait.

It was lunchtime by now and Abbey fancied trying Bella Notte which we've only ever picked up drinks from before.



It was busy in here but so was everywhere as it was prime lunch time. The boys grabbed a table and Abbey and I queued - we waited a total of 20 minutes. The longest wait is to pay, once we'd paid we had our food within a couple of minutes. Instead of the set menu Abbey and I had the spaghetti & meatballs and a drink and the boys had a pizza and drink each.

The spaghetti was very good, as was the pizza. This was a surprise hit with us. I like the décor in here too.

As we left here there were a few spits of rain and I was glad I'd packed by brolly today. We had a mooch around Main St and the shops. We stopped by the laundry but the soundbites weren't on today.



The boys went ahead of us back to the hotel for a bit of a rest. Abbey and I took our time in the shops.



We picked up some sweets from the sweet shop and the rain had gone off by the time we were on our way back to the hotel.







We were in the room about 5 minutes when the sky went completely black and the rain started to hammer down. This lasted for about couple of hours and I started to question if we'd bother going back out today. There was literally a river running down the pavements, lol.



I thought about going for a swim, but decided just to have a rest and catch up on my trip report whilst the others took a nap.

At about 5pm it had brightened up so decided to make our way out and to the Studios. It was a bit cooler but I was ok with just my t-shirt. The kids had taken hoodies with them but John hadn't and by the time we got to the Studios he was feeling the cold. Abbey and John went off to do Tower of Terror whilst Lewis and I had a look around the shops as the rain had started again, although thankfully no quite so heavy. It was around 6:30 now.

We met up with them in the ToT shop.



The kids liked the hats.....





John wanted at hoodie or something for the night ahead but didn't really want anything with Disney on it and honestly wouldn't have worn a Disney hoodie outside of the parks so he bought a lovely Minnie one that I liked instead, lol. He didn't mind wearing a Minnie hoodie and I was happy that I'd have something too....although it is a bit big for me, lol





I love this Minnie design on the back. I think Abbey went off to do Aerosmith next and we had a stroll around and waited for her.

Then the kids went off to do Crush.





It was around 7:15 now so we left the Studios and made our way into Disneyland Park. I had a huge smile on my face seeing that lovely Minnie hoodie on John, lol

We headed for the Lucky Nugget Saloon in Frontierland. There was a bit of a queue outside but it moved quickly and we were handed menus whilst we waited.



It only took 5 minutes and once inside we placed our order with the cashier and were then shown to our table.



I really like the theme in here. We sat close to the stage and within minutes our server had come to our table to introduce himself and get our drinks order.






About 5 minutes after sitting down our meals were at our table. The service in here was first class, so quick and the food was piping hot. We all had fish and chips.



The picture doesn't do it justice, it was a large portion and the food was delicious. Drinks are refillable and we got a second round of drinks. Dessert was a lovely with variations of different flavours of sauce.



Everyone enjoyed their meals and we were all pleasantly surprised by it. It's been a few years since we've been here and previously they'd had a pianist. It would have been nice to have that again as the stage is just begging for something to be happening on it. That aside, we had a really nice meal in here and will definitely be back. Well done Lucky Nugget!

We left here and had a mooch around the shops





We passed BTM but having just eaten, nobody wanted to ride just now. Into Adventureland and glad to see that the coke can was in full working order..



Into Fantasyland now and time for some teacups









And into the shops in Fantasyland. I still find it incredible that this is inside a shop....wonderful to see





We left here and strolled down towards Liberty Arcade. It was after 9pm by now and we decided not to do any more rides tonight. There were crowds lining the streets for Illuminations.

It was really busy in here tonight. Abbey picked up a sticker book she liked.





All tired, we left the parks for tonight and wandered into the Village and World of Disney



We didn't get anything in here and made our way in and out of all the Village stores. I liked this wee Mickey and Minne inside the gallery

Thankfully the rain had stayed off this evening and we made our way back to the hotel.

We fancied a drink in the bar tonight. Abbey went off to pick some things up from the shop whilst the boys went ahead to the bar. There was a bit of confusion with the staff who initially thought they wanted to get cans of juice to takeout. When John explained they wanted to sit in the bar, he was told to sit down and the drinks would be brought over to him. He said he waited quite a bit for them to be delivered.

Shopping done, Abbey and I joined the boys who had been happily playing cards.





The waitress in the area went by our table a few times and I tried to get her attention (without being rude) but she pretty much ignored us completely. Eventually Abbey went to the bar and she was told it was table service only and to sit back down again...another 10 minutes and eventually we were served. We didn't get a bill so when we were ready to leave I approached the CM at a till point. He looked quite confused that we were asking to pay....Anyway, not great service in here.

Back in the room I think it was around 11:30 and I packed up our things ready for the morning.

Yeah it was great. We've never been in summer, normally go around January so it was nice to have some warm weather for a change
