Any of you guys have assignments for the summer!!!:scared:I have to read a book and do a webpage!!!!!It sounds nice till you have work on it!

Not this summer.
They recommend reading but we don't have to do an assignment for it.
Magnet and AP students have to do an assignment though.

Not an assignment but I need to write an essay so I can enter this competition.
And decide which poem I'm entering.

I wish I had an assignment though.
It'd give me something to do.

I have to read a book. I haven't started it yet. I really need to.

For honors history, I have to read Close to Shore and write an essay about it.

For adv. english, I just need to read a book called For One More Day.

I have my AP work...

i only have a little over half done.

I have to read Killing Mr. Griffin, and then do a newspaper article about it. Called " The Griffin Case."

BORING!!!!

I'm only in chapter 5!!!!

Here we go:
1. Read three books:
a. a classic
b. a contemporary classic
c. science-related
[There's a list, and you have to choose.]

2. Summer research assignment
a. 3 articles about agriculture
b. 3 articles about medical biotechnology
c. write a one page summary for each article.
i. include a paragraph about the summary.
ii. write your reaction to the article.

We have to read "Swallowing Stones" and for once, it's a summer reading book that actually looks semi-interesting. We also have to answer questions in the form of an essay.

I don't even get how those work.
No, I don't have any, and I've never had any.

the only assignment i had this summer was to read the Glass Castle by Jeanette Walls which i finished last week. it was the only thing i had to do for school this summer

i have to read the Great Gatsby and Desert Solitaire. then i have to write a 1000 word essay about how they're an elegy to the american dream

i have to read To Kill A Mockingbird and Farenheit 451

read them all ready so i actually have no work

that was for gifted english:scared:

English
1. Read Crime and Punishment
2. Mark up Crime and Punishment (highlight certain themes + important stuff)
3. Choose 3 passages and write a 2 page essay for each

TOK
1. Read Man is the Measure

Physics
1. Read a few pages of notes and answer some questions right after

I really have to start...

I've gotta read The Old Man and the Sea and Bless Me, Ultima for english and read the first 3 chapters of my history book and do this huge packet on it

I have to read All the Pretty Horses and Montana, 1948 for AP English. I'll get that done in no time.

My parents also want me to do some college/scholarship applications before school starts, so I have to do those too.

I have to memorize 50 equations for AP Chem... and in my teacher's last email she said she'd have more things for us to do in August. :headache:

Too bad I only have like, 15 of them memorized. And I have a test on them the first week of school. :dance3:
