When would you even think about starting to plan a "summer 2018" trip?

OP, I have a February 2018 cruise book and Im on the cruisecritic board reading and getting informed.

I am already! We got home 2.5 weeks ago and I was already in planning mode lol

Once you know the timeframe, let the planning begin! We have a cruise and WDW trip this August and I'm already planning for 2018.

I started planning for summer 2018 two years ago! lol

But seriously, I'm thinking of making reservations etc probably January 2018 for an August trip. Maybe a little earlier. We'll see.

I already have a cruise booked for 2018, and I am waiting for the RCCL summer 2018 cruises to be released. I have our vacations through 2019 planned or seriously thought out. I haven't booked some things for them, because it just doesn't make sense. However, I have seriously thought about where we want to go, stay, and eat, what we want to do, and when. I like planning though I am bummed that WDW, my son's school, and the airlines don't release their schedules this far out.
