Summer 2018--Am I crazy?

I am thinking of making a trip in June. I have been to WDW in June before. I know it is hot, and "everyone" fusses because I don't like water, but I actually think that part I can deal with. However, last time I was there in June, the crowds were oppressive. Arriving at MK other than at rope drop would make me wonder if I would ever get to the monorail. This obviously makes hopping much less attractive. It was also more difficult to get everything I wanted to do in, even with the longer hours. Some things I have read here indicate that maybe summer crowds aren't as bad as they used to be. Should I try it, or just let my wonderful November trip hold me over for awhile? Or I could go in July if July is better than June.

June is better than July--and the earlier, the better. May I ask when was the last time you were there in June?

I really like late June and July for a combination of manageable crowds, lower/value season resort rates, and often reasonably available general public or AP discounts (compared to some other times of the year). I don't think summer is crazy at all. You do have to be able to handle Florida heat, but outside of that, I love it.

I was last at Disney in June in 2010. I may have been to Florida in June since then. Its hard to remember. We always traveled somewhere in June and somewhere in October and Florida was at least one of those, sometimes both. Some years we made a third trip in March.
