I'm looking for a suite with a nice pool. I would LOVE to find a room where the parents get a king and the kids can have a queen sleeper and a cot or else 2 doubles.
So far, I've considered Double Tree Guest suites, Caribe Royale- any other recommendations for places we should check? We've done the parks a lot and are planning to focus on waterparks and taking a more leisurely schedule.

We have a rate of $80/night including all taxes for 5 nights at Cypress Pointe. This is for a 2 bedroom 1,200+ sq. ft. condo. Go to www.hotelkingdom.com for the best rates on this place.

Are you looking for an indoor pool? If so Embassy Suites needs to be considered. Otherwise, a home rental might be a great alternative, many have pools. Or Marriott vacation Club at World Center, large pool complex there.

:daisy: Hello!

Just wanted to let you know that we have stayed at both the Hawthorn Suites and Homewood Suites in Lake Buena Vista. Both had a room arrangement like you are describing with a full kitchen. We found both to be extremely well kept and housekeeping did an excellent job while we were there.

About the pools, they were both adequate. While the pools themselves as well as their surroundings were very well kept and clean, they were just regular pools. Although we stayed at both in June, the pool area was never crowded. We only visited the pool at night (8-11pm) and we were often the only ones there.

I would have to give a slight edge to the pool at Hawthorn, though. The landscaping seemed to be a little better and the pool was slightly larger as well as in a free form shape instead of the plain rectangle at Homewood. Both had hot tubs. :earsgirl:

Hope this helps you out. :cool1:

Have you looked into the new Nick Hotel(Holiday Inn)There pools are the only reason we are staying there for the last 2 nights of our week. We will park hop the first 5 days and then sit poolside for the last 2. I booked a 2 bedroom kids suite, king bed and bunk or twin beds in the kids room. The pools alone look like waterparks. Hope this helps! :goodvibes

The Sheraton Safari has a lot of suites and a nice pool area with a water slide. It's not always easy to get a suite with a king bed, though. Normally the rooms have two doubles and a sofa bed.

Thank you for your input. I decided to get a king connecting to a room w/ 2 doubles at Port Orleans. This is sort of a fake suite, but without a kitchen. I had a great discount, too, so it actually ended up being just what we wanted for the price we had in mind.
