Boy, seeing that there were no cat 3's available for the cruise I'm going on in April 2005, I wanted to look ahead to see if there are any in the future. Nothing I can find! How do you find out if there are Catagory 3's being tucked away or is there a way to get on a waiting list for an upgrade?

Thanks
Stacey

If you're looking on the DCL website, I don't think they list any of the suites there. You will need to call for availability. Get in touch with DCL reservations directly, or go through a TA. We have a suite for the March 13, 2005 Wonder that we booked through a T/A. When I went to the DCL web site before calling the T/A, there was no information at all on suite availability or pricing. When talking with the T/A, I learned that suites of all three categories were available for our cruise dates. I don't know why DCL does not put this information out on its web site.

we have done cat 3 for 5 years now and book more thab a year out. basically when disney first releases the rooms. best bet is to contact a travel agent as they usually have to scoop on when rooms are released. dreams unlimited booked our california cruise (among many) and kept me informed. they grabbed 2 cat 5's right away because disney wasn't releasing suites. the wait list concept was successful and we did get cat 3 a few months later. good luck. fyi - the concierge in suite is nice but 2 connecting rooms give you a lot of room (and minimize the need for fold out beds which take up so much floor space).

There is a special number where you can fax a request for a suite even before the dates are released. They keep the requests on file, and then, as soon as the dates are released, they call people in the order in which the request was received. At that time, you either book it (and pay deposit), or they call the next person on the list. As soon as they've worked thru the list, it is open to whoever calls.

Sorry--I'm not at home....but if you call the DCL general number, they will give you the special fax number.

My name is on the waitlist for a cat. 3 for our next cruise. However, I was told by the DCL reservationist to call back every week or so to see if one has opened up.
So far, two have been available, yet I've never been contacted while on the waitlist. Unfortunately, my DH gets motion sickness from the vibration at the aft of the ship and the only rooms available have been way in the back. Even so, I would never have know any were available unless I called.:D
