Suites at Old Town Kissimmee Orlando

anyone stay there of know anything about it? We can stay there 6 days/7 nights with 5 day Pass Hopper for about $1500. for 4 adults and 3 kids.


if you could get it for half the price of All Stars Music?
It's off site, about (they say) 2.5 miles from Disney.

You're probably better posting this over at the Orlando Hotels and Attractions for some better replies.
We've stayed in the Old Town area in the past, but recently we've felt the area has gone downhill, a little bit rough. We'd never stay near there again or even visit it while in Orlando nowadays.
I'm not sure which suites you are talking about though?

My friend stayed one night then booked at Disney she said the room had black mold all over the place it stunk and a lot of strange people going in and out of rooms in the middle of the night plus you could hear the noise form old towne till about 2 or 3 in the morning. Sorry if this puts a damper on you but she ended up calling Disney and taking the only room they had over 4th of July and was willing to pay $354.00 a night for it to get out of this place.

I've got tons of information about Days Suites at Old Town. We stayed there our first eight (of eleven) trips to Walt Disney World. Our first trip was in 1998 and we enjoyed our stay. During our following stays, we felt that the suite were showing their age but, since we stayed in the parks most of the day, we didn't really care that much.

The hotel is very large and consists of many many buildings. They start at A and go all the way through, I believe, S. The buildings A through H are pretty okay. The ones further back on the property are not so okay. We always made sure to request rooms toward the front of the property (A through H).

The suites are four rooms. There is a room with a Murphy bed, a chair, a television, a loveseat and two end tables. The kitchenette has a refrigerator, a stove top, a microwave, a dishwasher, a table and four chairs. The bathroom is the typical hotel/motel size. The bedroom has two double beds, a large closet and a storage type closet with a television and shelves in it. There is a long vanity with a sink in the bedroom area. If you are in a ground floor room, you will have a small patio and it's easy to back your vehicle up close and unload your bags. If you are upstairs you will have a small balcony.

Days Suites is in a good area and is right next door to Old Town. Old Town is an small amusement/shopping/dining area. It can get a little loud at night and especially on Saturdays when they have the antique car show and parade. There are numerous places close by to eat and shop and play mini-putt.

Days Suites was just a five minute drive to the Walt Disney World Resort.

Now, all that being said......during our last two stays, we noticed that the place was really showing wear and tear. Our toilet stopped up twice during one stay but, in the staff's defense, they did come and fix it within thirty minutes. Our mattress had a super big dip in the middle but it was replaced after we complained. The floor where the rolled flooring and carpet met (kitchen to bedroom) was coming loose. We called them about it but it was never fixed. My husband doesn't travel in a car anywhere without taking a roll of duct tape so he taped it down. Housekeeping never said a word about it even though they cleaned around it. The last stay, we noticed some of the wallpaper was starting to tear in spots and there were some stains on the carpet.

Did I get a really super duper price on the suite? You betcha! We only paid $50.00 a night. Would we stay there again? Maybe.

I stayed there for one night, with my German shepherd mix Molly, and boy, was I ever glad I had her with me. Dodgy - very, very dodgy. I wouldn't suggest this place to anyone. You're better off staying at a value resort; at least you will be safe there. This is a high crime area - just check with the local police station here in Kissimmee.

I agree with mickeystoontown. We have stayed at the Days Suites 2x - once in 1993 and the next in 2004. If we were to stay off-site, we would stay there again. We paid $42 a night for 620 sq feet. Our back door opened to the pool, we parked less than 50ft from our room. I was not scared, no noise kept me up. Housekeeping was ok, had a couple room problems (like toilet), but they were fixed within 30 minutes. I live in a inner-city neighborhood and I felt safer at the hotel than i do at home.

I've stayed at Days Suites before, even way back when it was called Days Lodge and it was a decent place to stay. But I won't stay there anymore. The last time I stayed there was over 7 years ago and there were just too many mess ups with the room and everytime I went to the lobby to get assistance there was a long wait line to get to the front counter. I still look for the bargains but since I discovered skyauction and priceline I'd rather go that route. Can't beat getting a 2 bedroom timeshare for $260/week. I've even stayed at Windsor Palms condo for $55 night and Windsor Hills 3 bedroom townhome for $75 a night. I'm lucky to be able to go in the slower seasons when it is easier to get good prices.

I have stayed there several times, although the most recent was five or more years ago. The suite itself was roomy and comfortable, and clean but a bit shop-worn. It was a short walk to Old Town, which was fun to spend an evening or two. I did not feel unsafe. Again, 5+ years ago.
