I think the answer to this question is no, but the current Grand Californian hotel (not the forthcoming villas) has 1 and 2 bedroom suites. Can we book those with our points, or just the standard rooms? I assume the answer is no since they don't specify on the point chart a difference between the rooms.

Thanks,
- Scott

I just called to do this very thing, book a two bedroom for ten days, about 860 pts but I have been in this suite it is so beautiful. It is spacious and wonderful but more points than two adjoining rooms. They will not guarantee adjoining rooms by the way. In our suite we had a giant balcony overlooking downtown disney and could sit and watch the fireworks. Perfect for our family of six. Call DVC and do it if you can spare the points!!!!

Thanks for the info. Is there a point chart somewhere for this or do I need to call? I have seen the online chart, but it doesn't show info for suites.

There are no published tables that include the suites, but if you call MS they can tell you how many points you'll need.

Don't know when you're planning to go but we just called for suite point prices for July. For the Grand Californian in July---a 1br suite is 67weekday/108weekend and a 2br is 83 weekday (sun-th) and 134 on the weekends. We are doing a split stay as we did last time since I love both GCH and DLH (and kids love the Neverland pool) and the DLH suites for July are 1 br 46 pts weekday and 75 weekend and 2 br 59 weekday and 95 weekend. Since the DLH points are lower on the weekends we are staying there for our Fri/Sat nights but are still debating paying cash for the suite for 1 weekend night to save pts. Hope that helps! Oh, we stayed in a 1br at GCH 2 years ago and it was gorgeous with an amazing view of Grizzly Peak and the Monorail!! The only thing I don't like is that you cannot use points to have a suite with concierge service. We have to wait until we check in and IF it's available we can pay cash for it. The only drawback. Happy planning!

We are staying at the GCH in a 1 BR suite on points in August. 67 points per night weekday. We are really looking forward to this!

I just found out you could book suites at GCH also!

I was disappointed that they are not concierge. If they were, I would have booked it stat!

I booked a stand. view room on points at GCH y-day. Concierge was sold out for August. After checking room rates with AAA and Costco, I booked our 3 night stay on points. The GCH is EXPENSIVE and I consider the points to be a value over paying cash. Plus no $95 fee!

I am going to keep trying for concierge but in the meantime, goodbye HOJO's, Helloooo GCH!!!:cool1:

Now I need park tickets!
