Suites at AKL

Has anyone stayed in a suite at AKL. We are thinking of staying in one on our next trip and are wondering are they worth it? We also wanted to know if they applied AP discounts to suites and how many people they accomodate comfortably. Any input would be appreciated.

Has anyone stayed in a suite at AKL.

My family has stayed in both a one-bedroom suite and a two-bedroom suite at the AKL. Both suites were identical except for the number of rooms (of course). The one-bedroom suite slept 5 or 6 (there were 4 of us). The two-bedroom suite slept 8 or 9 (there were 4 of us).

As to pricing, we were charged rack rate, no discounts of any kind were available (we have always been told that suites are never discounted and that has been our experience at WDW over the past 10 years).

We have a AAA discount for our August ressies in a one-bedroom suite. That's a good chunk of change, considering how much the suite costs for eight nights!
