Suite Suggestion?

I'm trying to figure out our best, most economical option for a hotel with a "suite" setup with 2 rooms. We'll be going to Disney with our then 21 month old and we will be going back to the room for a mid-day nap, and since he's a very light sleeper we would prefer a 2 room setup so we can watch tv and relax while he sleeps!

Does anyone have any suggestions for a reasonably priced, clean, close to the parks hotel?

We are staying at Buena Vista Suites for one night next month, its an all suites resort, has 2 queen beds or 1 king in the bedroom area with a seperate living room with sofa bed, kitchenette and bathroom. I think the room went for $89/night and they have a free continential breakfast in the morning. Have never stayed here before but the reviews seem positive ... worth a shot. Not sure when you are going but I certainly will give you any information on the resort when I get back from the trip. We are staying here on May 10th, then we move to our resort for the week.

Check out www.tripadvisor.com and put in your dates and see what resorts are available and read the reviews. This place seems to get more good then bad reviews ... next door I was told is Caribe Royal which is a sister resort to BVS ... check out other threads, I asked about this place and got some decent feedback! Hope it helps

Have you considered renting a condo? You can get a 2 bedroom really inexpensive and very close to the parks. Most, such as Windsor Hills, Windsor Palms, Grand Palms, Celebration World are within a few minutes from the park and an easy commute back for a nap (been there, done that). Condos are a life saver with a light sleeper. Check out VRBO.com or skyauction.com.

Would a condo even be a possibility for only 2 nights? If so I'd definitely consider it, thanks! We have 5 nights set up through my husband's work for his conference at the RI near Sea World.

ntz4disney, thank you for your thoughts! We're going May 31, but I'm hoping to have our arrangements all set up here pretty soon. I'll look into the BV Suites, too!

You may also want to checkout www.magicalmemories.com and see what they have availabile. On this website you can book anything from a regular hotel room to a large house for one night or whatever your vacation needs are. I looked at it for my sister who is a family of 6, so renting a house/condo is much better for them then multiple hotel rooms. The rates were very reasonable too!

Have you asked about extending your stay there for the "conference rate"? We did that two years ago. The hotel agreed to charge us the conference rate for the weekend before and after my conference. It was a big savings and we didn't have to waste precious Disney time moving to a new resort.

We were hoping to get a hotel closer to the parks rather than Sea World for the first 2 nights. Plus, the conference rate is nothing to write home about (149/night, I think) but hubby's company is paying for that.

ETA: it looks like magicalmemories has a 3 night minimum stay, bummer. Next time, though!

I booked a 2 BDRM Suite at Blue Tree Resort in Lake Buena Vista for Memorial Day weekend at $75/night. The reviews on Trip Advisor are good and I called the hotel and they said they've never had a problem with reservations booked on this site.
