I will be boarding the Eurostar at Ashford and im getting a bit worried about where the luggage will go, will there be room for my bags etc esp the people getting on at London will already have theres in there and where exactly does it go.....
Also how much time do we get to get on the train as im fretting a but with a small 2year a buggy and probably 2 cases...eeek! im scared...i dont do trains very well.

Sorry for rambling

There are large luggage racks just as you enter the train and there was someone on board at the door to help us point us to our seats.

We've joined at Ashford and haven't had any problems getting our luggage stored.
It's very straight forward don't panic, the platform is marked with carriage numbers.

and each carriage has it's own storage. You have plenty of time to get your luggage sorted and find your seats. :)

awww thanks guys and cheers for the pic...:)
Im just fretting as usual.

Taken from the Eurostar website
"Eurostar loves your luggage
We love luggage. We want to take care of your luggage and in our experience; the best person to do that is you. And in most cases, that’s exactly what will happen. This means that when you travel with us, you don’t need to check it in - just take it straight onto the train. You may carry with you on Eurostar trains 2 items of baggage per person, plus 1 small item of hand luggage."

I don't think there is any restriction (within reason obviously) on the size or weight of your cases. The only thing I would bear in mind is that you might have to lift them up onto the shelf if all the floor space is gone, DH did this last time and hurt his back (he does suffer with sciatica so has a weakness there anyway), but I'd keep them a reasonable weight. :)

Thanks! Just wondering! We'll probs only take one each (being 3 women and all really weak! lol!) but i'd have hated to get there and them been too big or something! x

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but we had a bit of trouble with luggage this week. There were three adults and one toddler in our group and we only had one medium sized suitcase and two pull along ones (the sort that are the max size for transatlantic handluggage s not big) and we found that on the Lille - Marne La Vallee leg of the journey both ways there was a serious lack of storage. I guess if you get on in Ashford and are not changing it should be less problematic but having said that after we left London there appeared to be limited storage but then the carriage was very FULL.

In all honesty I liked the speed of the Eurostar and it was nice not having to drive but it didn't really live up to my expectations.

I was on eurostar last week going to DLP with a large suitcase, holdall and pushchair and alos got on at Ashford and the main luggage racks were full but over our heads at the seats was a rack that didn't look big enough but when we put the luggage it there it was fine and alos safe. The pushchair (Maclaren) was actually put under the seat which was also fine, just need to move it into the right position. When you return the train is always there waing for you so check in early to get the luggage racks near the dors because the only problem we found about having the luggage above our seats is that you have to drag them down the carriage of the train while looking for your seats. Have fun!

rahhh! Im scared again now...i only have 2 pairs of hands and busy toddler. May have to limit myself to one case and small holdall for baggage and not let DD take her small pull along case.
