suitcase advice

Those look very cute - no idea how much stuff you need to take, but I guess you also need to think if you could actually manage a bigger case anyway if you're talking about 2 sets?

My dad gave me some hideous large case to take last time, and it was so heavy. which is why i thought 2 small cases will be easier to manage.

They are so cute though:lovestruc
This time im not packing the amount i took last time lol

I guess it depends how many times you have to get them on and off buses etc!

yeah, i guess i can order them and if they are unsuitable i can get a refund.

Im looking for 2 new suitcases that will be ok for 4/5 day stays at Disney. I want one for me and one for Kyra.
Ive seen these in Argos and they are too cute but worried they may be a bit small and wont hold much.

What do you guys think, i was going to be a set each :rotfl:

i have a case this size, and i dont think it is large enough for 5 day holiday!!

i use it when we go away for 1-2 nights

depends what you take with you / how often you change your clothes though i guess ;) :rotfl:

I was thinking that when i got my tape measure out.
Maybe they will make them in a bigger size before i go :rotfl:

these remind me of Minnie Mouse's dress, so cute!

I'm sure they would work for Kyra since her clothes are smaller. Not sure if she would be able to help you carry these in any way though.

So you want to carry a grand total of 4 cases? Or did you mean that you and Kyra would share just these two? Because I definitely don't think that both of you could fit your clothes in only two cases this size.

Yeah i kinda realised they are a bit 2 small, your right the pink one would be ok for Kyra and her clothes i think i would need a bigger one though, not too big :rotfl:

we got my ds a roller suitcase trolley thing when we went last year and DH ended up lugging it along with all our other stuff, and it was so much headache on eurostar and getting to/from the station on the bus-major headache, my recommendation would be one large case to fit all your stuff in, then maybe get Kyra a cute backpack to carry a toy in so she still feels like shes carrying something/helping??

my daughters cinderella trolley suitcase is the same size as that and I reckon there would only just be enough room for her clothes for a 4 night 5 day stay. The size would be perfect for your little one, and I would imagine she would be able to pull it along quite easily.

Although I personally wouldnt want to risk such nice luggage on aeroplanes with the rough handlers who just throw them and bury them under some big huge heavy dirty thing!!!!

Which is why I never allowed my daughter to take her cinderella trolley case.

my daughter (who is 4) has for the last couple of years holidays taken her tinkerbell suitcase (from disney shop) to carry her sock / undies and some toys books for holidays. And we have taken two large suitcases with mine and dh clothes etc in and dds clothes / shoes. This is probably what we will do to DLP in April - although this is the first year she will pull it properly on her own.

However I think we will need to take a holdall this year as well as there is ds (9 months) as well now and he will need, nappies, clothes, couple of toys, some food, and bottled milk / juice bottle (although still breastfeeding at the mo, and will continue for holiday for ease).

dd loves packing her own bag (although for every 3 things she puts in - I do have to take 1 or 2 out!!)

Maybe you could think what you need to take that is essential - I have really pared down my packing since having dd in 2003.
For 5 days in Autumn / spring I would take 2 pairs jeans, one pair combats (for travelling home in), 5 vests, 3 long sleeve tops, 2 jumpers / cardies, and possibly a couple of nice tops to wear if go somewhere nice in evening. You will need 2 pairs of shoes / trainers (as you shouldn't wear the same pair of shoes two day in a row to give feet a rest - saves sore feet.

Being a single parent certainly means you need strong arms to pull along suitcases and push a buggy at the same time :rotfl:

Im thinking of just getting a medium sized case as i really took too much on the last trip, my dad even struggled with my case :rotfl:
